thank god, I thought I was going crazy. As to the review ... roflmao, I wish I could have seen the pics to go with it I am sure they match up good. Too bad only 1 file had a descriptive file name, I still laughed though. It is funny howpeople can find the funny in something where someone else generally doesn't. Reminds me of the fun I used to have in msg board replies and stuff where I would make an MSPaint pic to add to what I was saying. fun!

Lol!

I finished Heart of the Dragon (Atlantis, #1) by Gena Showalter early this morning and really enjoyed it. Finished up Touched by an Alien (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #1) by Gini Koch and loved it. Surprising. I have a total crush on Kitty.

Starting Grimspace (Sirantha Jax, #1) by Ann Aguirre because apparently, I am on a sci-fi/alien kick.

Sooooo, now reading Lia and Cyrus' 3rd story, Skin Deep, from Inked (World of the Lupi, #5.5) by Karen Chance , and continuing to reread, The Taken (Celestial Blues, #1) by Vicki Pettersson . Will start The Newlyweds by Nell Freudenberger when I get the chance, and The Lost (Celestial Blues, #2) by Vicki Pettersson when it comes out on Tuesday.

Llaph (llaph) | 3285 comments Is it the 26th yet?

@ mello:
I liked grimspace and I read part of the 2nd book. I just didn't like the characters much. Or maybe the author? I started and didn't finish her solomon series either....
Some people like how she writes, I just didn't agree on how her characters acted/felt about things.
I am weird.

last sci fi series that I read was the cat star chronicles by cheryl brooks and my favorite the league by sherrilyn kenyon. (atm I like it more than her DH series....)

sugar + no sleep = llaph babbling like a dork

Mello ❣ Illium ✮Harry✮ ☀Myrnin☀ Torin Ichimaru | 2012 comments I'll let you know how I feel about it when I'm done, Llaph. I plan to finally read the first League book after I'm done with Grimspace.

Llaph (llaph) | 3285 comments @ mello:
you can def tell it is a sk book series for the most part. I personally think they get better as you go, but I am biased about it.
While taking my shower I thought of one of my favorite sci fi series, a series that I own and have read a million times. Anne Mccaffrey's Freedom series. I forget the order, they all start with freedom--landing choice, challenge, and ransom. I have a weakness for survival type stories ... aliens grab up people in gobs, turn them into slaves, mix a few species together with some supplies, and drop them off on a new planet to see if they can colonize it and if it is worth keeping. I love crystal singer too--rather don't like the other books in that series though.

There was a study done on this--I think I read it on lifehacker. You do your best thinking in the shower!

@ zeenat:
I shouldn't be wishing for the 26th to come faster ... I have a dr appointment on the 25th and it wont be a fun one.

Mello ❣ Illium ✮Harry✮ ☀Myrnin☀ Torin Ichimaru | 2012 comments Finished Grimspace (Sirantha Jax, #1) by Ann Aguirre and I liked it. Sirantha isn't a completely likable character, but she seems to making an effort to be a better person. I hope she'll be able to keep March from diving into the deep end of the pool again. I totally <3 Vel, though. Go figure. My favorite character so far is the giant praying mantis.

Starting Born of Night (The League, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Arushi | 3652 comments Those stories are short stories from KC (as in Novellas that were part of anthologies). I think some are available for free on her site too. They feature Lia a war mage, who also happens to be related to werewolves. Its a good insight to the wolves and the mages. Especially the mages.

message 1984: by Margo (last edited Mar 21, 2013 03:24AM) (new)

Margo | 663 comments Okay so this month I've read some good books and some not so good. So maybe I start with the books I've been waiting for and didn't disappoint me, so: Reckless (Thoughtless, #3) by S.C. Stephens - loved every word of this one, I've laughed, I've cried sad and happy tears and it was HOT! :) ; Demon's Dream (High Demon #6) by Connie Suttle - simply loved it; Grave Secret (Secret McQueen, #5) by Sierra Dean - funny, tragic, great and easy read; Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs - really liked it, although I prefer Alpha & Omega series, I still enjoyed this book.

Now books I wasn't waiting for but still liked: Collision Course by S.C. Stephens - simply beautiful and heartbreaking story; Avoiding Intimacy (Avoiding, #2.5) by K.A. Linde - funny and HOT as hell; Scandalous (Scandalous, #1) by H.M. Ward - to be honest, there's nothing great about it, it's a sweet love story but I didn't know who the guilty person was in the story and that's always a plus for me - the same with the second book in the series - Scandalous 2 (Scandalous, #2) by H.M. Ward ; Ruining Me (Ruining, #1) by Nicole Reed - made me cry; Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) by Stacia Kane - interesting; Bound by Blood by P.A. Lupton - I actually wanted to read this book for a while now, but it wasn't available for my country, so when it was posted here on goodreads for free, I could finally read it and it was good, not great but good.

Now the books I didn't enjoy: Night School (Night School, #1) by C.J. Daugherty and Legacy (Night School, #2) by C.J. Daugherty - they aren't the worse book I've ever read - the just boring :(. I've only read them 'cause a friend lend it to me and I didn't have anything other to read ;/; Sheet Music by Ann Lister - it's long and breezes through serious topics. I've gone half way through it and had to put it down - too many topics in one book; Dominion (Dominion, #1) by S.E. Lund - I've only lasted until the end of the book 'cause I thought, that maybe it will get better - it didn't ;(.

Now books I'm still waiting for this month and they all coming out on 26th of March (my oldest sister birthday): Twice Tempted (Night Prince, #2) by Jeaniene Frost , Kitty Rocks the House (Kitty Norville, #11) by Carrie Vaughn , Of Shadow Born (Shadow World, #4) by Dianne Sylvan and Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward .

Lannister (lannisteruk) | 10911 comments Wow, you've been busy Margo! :) I hope you'll keep reading the Downside Ghosts series. It's one of my favs (even though I want to strangle Chess sometimes) and it gets better and better.

Llaph (llaph) | 3285 comments downside ghosts series gets better, specially after I think it was book 3? I read she is going to be putting out a story(or has already) from Terrible's pov and the snippets I read off the blog were good. I rather like the way of talkin in downside for some reason.

5 more days ... can't wait.

I was going to say something else, but I forgot. :(

Yes! Vel rocks. I love him.

I've finished Born of Night (The League, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon (awesome) and Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices, #3) by Cassandra Clare and it was one of the most perfect endings to a series that I've ever read. I so love this book. So sad the series is over, but I know it'll be one that I reread a lot. Jem, Will and Tessa <3

Starting Blood Lines (World of the Lupi, #3) by Eileen Wilks

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 1164 comments You've been busy Margo! I'm reading Bound by Blood by P.A. Lupton and finding it a bit slow.

Yeah, it kind of is and there are some things I didn't like (view spoiler) but on in all I didn't feel like putting the book down.

Now, Dominion (Dominion, #1) by S.E. Lund however made me want to go and hit something. I really wanted to like this book but it was like tooth extraction - really painful and you don't do it unless you really have to. I certainly won't read the other books from this series :/
