What are you reading?
I would finish the Kara Gillian's, as a new one comes out December 31, 2012, and you want to be caught up!
We have a thread for Diana Rowland discussion Llaph, but it's full of spoilers. If you decide to read more of the series, head over there to talk about it, cos I just know you'll want to talk about it!! :)And I agree with Duane. I'd read all the Kara Gillian books first cos I'm counting the days till the new one comes out!
I accidentally got sucked into a re-read of
. I think this is something like the 6th time.I'll probably start the 11th DH book next. Almost to Acheron!
I started the second Kara book last night, I could only get up to 3 so I would have to wait on 4 and 5 when it came out. I can live with that ... I think ...I know that there is a thread about it, I had to do a search for it. After hearing the name all of the time I went and seen if I could get the books, I did read the thread some, but I stopped myself. I should get a reward for that ...
Llaph, You can always go over to that thread if you want to talk about the books. Just make it clear where you've read up to and say you don't want spoilers (well, unless you do!) Oh, and don't read any more of the existing posts! :)
Finished:Blood of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #2) by Diana Rowland
Starting:
Secrets of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #3) by Diana Rowland
Makes me feel all nostalgic and stuff with the setting.
Just started
The books are starting to get a bit repetitive for me. I may stop if Ash's book doesn't wow me.
It definitely gets repetitive. But some books are really good. I personally liked Devil May Cry. I hope you do too.
The DH books can definitely get repetitive. Especially if you read them one after another. Certain ones still stand out for the things that happen in the book outside of the romance. The various revelations and the way things are changing are what keep me hooked into the series.Finished
and it was great. This is the type of book you can read to help you get out of a reading slump.Starting
I would. They're pretty good and the world building is unique. The characters could do with some classes in communication.
@ Sarah"Totally forgot about him, too many characters in her world.
Maybe in a few years she will come back to him and we will get to know. Only took a while this time for Styxx' book!
I have yet to read the Dark Hunter series, and after this nasty comment on my review of Hounded, I don't think I will start.
"If you liked because he was old, then you should check out Sherilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. Much better written. Deeper plot. More rounded characters. Etc. Also the main character is 11000 years old. You haven't read enough this year if this is one of the best books you have read all year."

Rofl @ the quote at the end of your review. That is Richard to a T. Still, I totally fell in love with Richard in Bayou Moon, so I was hoping he would get a book.

That's just rude. And The Iron Druid series and DH are different genres and completely different kinds of books. It's possible to enjoy both for what they are. I can't believe they wrote that comment, though.
That was one of the stupidest comments I have read in a while. I love the Iron Druid Chronicles, they are totally something different than DH and it is beyond stupid to compare … (BTW loved the review.) It is too bad that stupid people are so prolific and vocal ... It is no news to me that I can’t think of something to say to that stupid comment other than just, “…” (I have been told that that is not a proper response though.) If you like reading books about dogs you should totally read Cujo, it is the best dog lover book ever …BTW I went to find the review and did a find on "NG" thinking I was smart to search for those letters ... I got owned again for not checking the spelling of a word. Enjee ... Using that made finding the review a whole lot easier!
That was so rude! I didn't like hounded, but that doesn't mean someone else can't for valid or legitimate reasons!

Well, I had one for Kaldar, but his book bombed . . . ugh.
I've finished up
and will be moving on to
Surprisingly, I've found this series to be quite addictive. It is a little cheesy, but dark at the same time. It kind of reminds me of Morganville Vampires for some reason.
@Zeenat William is my favorite. I was shocked because I didn't care that much about him in book 1. I fell completely head over heels for him in his book, though. Richard is a close second.
I can't recall if I put Iron Druid on my TBR pile yet or not. It seems like I keep adding books instead of taking them off!
I just finished my 1st book this month, titled
The Heat (The Big Bad Wolf #1) by Heather Killough-Walden. My next book is
The Strip (The Big Bad Wolf, #2) by Heather Killough-Walden
Finished
and really liked it. The only thing I didn't like was the ending and I hope that there will be second book about Caroline and Simon 'cause I feel like the story has just began :)
I just started
