Monica Porta | 196 comments Finished several books, but they aren't worth mentioning. But,I read Entangled (Spellbound #1) by Nikki Jefford and I liked it. Perplexed by Stranger Things Happen by Kelly Link not sure what the author wanted to achieve with those stories. Reading now Old Man's War by John Scalzi and its prose flows so well it gives me mental pleasure :)

Vered (vered_ehsani) I like that - "mental pleasure"!

Monica Porta | 196 comments Finished The Ghost Brigades by John Scalzi and it was good. Reading The Second Ship by Richard Phillips and it's great!

Monica Porta | 196 comments Meanwhile, I've finished several books. Among them, EVERWUD The TREE, The BOY & The DOG by Marilyn Dieckmann and it was such a cute story, suitable for kids and adults who like magic. Read the third in the Scalzi's trilogy, The Last Colony by John Scalzi and it was better than the second, but not as great as the first. Read and greatly enjoyed The Wedding Shroud - A Tale of Ancient Rome by Elisabeth Storrs a love story set in Etruscan times. Reading now, The Swerve How the World Became Modern by Stephen Greenblatt and it's an interesting book.

Vered (vered_ehsani) Oooo, the Etruscan story sounds good - I love historical fiction!

Ok, I've been REALLY lapsing over here, but all for a good cause. I've been quite busy with my radio show Africa Creates (check it out - http://africacreates.net/ - it airs on an online radio station - http://www.artistfirst.com/africacrea...). Fun, meeting great artists but way more time consuming than I'd expected!!! Yikes!

Flora Smith (bookwormflo) Wow, its been a while since I've posted on GR. I must try to do better.

Right now I'm reading a wide range.

Fyre (Septimus Heap, #7) by Angie Sage which of course is great!

Black Mamba by Jac Simensen that so far I don't really like.

and After The Ending (The Ending, #1) by Lindsey Fairleigh that I have just started but I like it already.
