I think she mentioned in some interview that Zsadist is her favorite brother, so I guess she likes his shellan, too

i dont think ive got that far to have been introduced to melissa yet :)

I think she meant Marissa...not Melissa. Unless I've missed a shellan in there somehow.

ahh okay

Thanks for the correction. But still my point is that Bella was still on some level Bella was a society princess sort that still had ties and connections to a boat load of characters given her central position in the story. Regardless if she was just friends with Mary or her parents were this or her brother was that. Bella was the central connection for a lot of people.

Now I think Jane is Ward's fave. Jane is the doc on site yes, (but Havers is a doc too.. Hell he was the only doc for their species til Jane & he's Marrisa's brother) but Jane really doesnt have any ties to the whole of characters or even major plots outside of V, yet since Jane has come on the scene, she ALWAYS gets way more page time than all the other Shellans combined in this series over a span of all the books since she was introduced in Lover Unbound.
Jane, I think is most like Ward in comparison, when you take in consideration Ward's previous job/experience before becoming a writer, & their physical appearances etc.. And I don't care how Ward tries to down play her "Feelings" for V, I think she seriously has a thing for him. I mean she pairs herself/Jane with V, and Jane continues to dominate when it comes to page time and actual dialogue compared to the other Shellans. Even if a Shellan is in the scene with Jane, say Rehv's Shellan Ehlena, she doesn't get to speak.

i actually like bella (and mary)the best fromm the shellans anyways, before i saw this discussion i had sorta subconciously realized that she was the most mentioned but thanks for saying it out loud!

I agree Bella and Jane seem to be the featured Shellan's, followed closly by Marissa. Mary is almost NEVER featured which I think is sad. But the same can be said for Rhage, unless they're always holled up in their room knocking boots.

Theirs a Bella/Zadist novella? Really :)

Jenna, on her Facebook page she sometimes posts spoilers and she stated that J.M. is Darius but he will never get those memories back because it would ruin several story lines mainly JM & Xhex. But it would affect Thor, Wrath, Beth and the rest of the BDB.

I did hear there was going to be a novella about Mary and Rhage adopting a baby so there no doubt be some more pages there.
As for Jane being a ghost, I think that was the most clever way of going about giving them a permanent top surgeon that would never die. So much more interesting/cooler than the forever young Manny.

I just think that after everything was revealed about V's life, the story shortchanged him. He needed a strong, powerful, freaky woman. That's not Jane. She's cool and smart, but it would have been just as good for her not to be his shellan but somehow become the BDB's ghost doctor....... As for Manny that was just a stupid story period. Either he should turn and become the vamp that he is or just go away. They are always mentioning how they need more Brother's and since he & Butch have the same dad then he too is a descendant of Wrath. Therefore if he turned he'd be warrior sized and available to fight in the war. IMO of course.

As for Manny, I think he was naturally going to be roped in too. Cause again they want to build their medical support side of things. But yea, I agree they could have had him turn all the way and just get it over with. And that way can be both medical guy and warrior guy if he wanted to be. The keeping him young thing will wind him up as a fetus before long lol.

I hate saying it, but I just don't think in Ward's world of vamps, there is much room for women to be on the front lines of battle too much. Save for Payne and I just await there to be a sub plot where, even SHE will be regaled to the house at some point too. I hate that, cause the world is great, but dude I so feel like there needs to be a march for females of their world or something.

Yea the Insiders Guide is awesome. Not only do u get in depth background on the brothers u get deleted scenes, slices of life, and the Novella Father Mine
