Janie Johnson 9:53AM Sitting here with my tea and a good book....this morning I will be focusing some more on NOS4A2. Got 250 pages read yesterday between the 2 books. I don't think my grandbaby will be here this weekend. Expecting our last 2 books to be dropped in the mailbox today. I am dying to get my hands on Ellen Hopkins Glass, book 2 in the Crank series. That is one of them I expect to arrive today.

EDIT: OOPS today is Sunday, there fore no mail, no books. *sigh* :/

message 1107: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson 7:54AM I am hoping storms have all passed by for today, could still use rain since the storms went by us, but there has been so much devastation around I dont want anymore storms to deliver the rain we need. I am sitting here about to dive back into whispers while enjoying my tea.

It's 10:56 AM About to go out to do some naked gardening, then some naked reading, and after that some naked lunch.

In case you're wondering, today is National Naked Day in Boston.

message 1113: by [deleted user] (new)

12:13 PM Just finished lunch. Reading, contemplating a walk if the rain lets up.

message 1114: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson 7:47AM Just had some breakfast, enjoying some coffee. Looking forward to getting more into XO now, and Glass. Had a hard time finding a 'single' listing of Glass on GR so I could post as 'currently reading' I had to go into 'my books' just to list it. Good grief what was that about. Every time I would type in Glass it would only list the set of Crank and Glass. Finally I found it on my TBR list. Took forever though. Good Morning my GR friends.

Jeanette Hornby (goodreadscomuser_jeanettehornby) | 5 comments It's evening here in West Aus. I'm proofreading (Well, I was). Checking my social media and then getting back to it.

message 1116: by [deleted user] (new)

9:15 AM Reading, having coffee, still in my bathrobe. Did some more blogging.

message 1117: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson 1:27PM We have another nice day today, not too warm out. But those days are coming. A little overcast, but overall pretty decent. Getting ready to finish up Glass and then throw Fall Out in there and finish up Hopkins Crank series all by the end of the month. Should not be a problem. It is overwhelming sometimes the devastation of the drugs. I feel myself wishing, hoping, & praying that things get better for Kristina. To be sucked into that atmosphere is so frustrating.

Janie Johnson 9:58AM looks like another cloudy morning harboring a lot of heat. LOL Just checked on the pumpkin plants and they grew another 2 inches wide on the leaves I think. I have ever seen a plant grow so fast. Enjoying some honey tea and House. Gonna be switching over to Heart Shaped Box soon.

Squire (srboone) Kyle wrote: "How is Joyland so far, Squire?"

It took awhile for it to grab me, but that was probably because I got burned out on reading and was looking for something to get me outta my funk.

For me, it pales in comparison to The Colorado Kid, but it's quite good.
