9:15am kids are all in school, today is my day off,so I will enjoy some quiet time, drink some tea, read a book
10:56PM I am BEAT! Had my fit test tonight and then right into the new Max circuit. It kicked my behind. The shower helped A LOT! Now I am sitting here on GR. House is quiet, gonna try and read for at least an hour since I did not get much read time in.
9:18pm ET. Just came in from gardening and the yard is looking awesome already... lots of buds and new growth.. :D
9:11pm ET. Good day at work... rare.... came home, actually cooked (i know, i know) and worked in the gardens... the yard is coming along so nicely. Had to put my iron trellis back up for my Clematis; that thing is sprouting fast! :O
2:42PM Going to be going out this evening, get some dinner and a few groceries. I love being able to go with my family. Takes away from reading, but what can I say they are worth it.
8:21PM. Helping my youngest do his homework, I know it should've been done earlier but what can I say....

It's 3:05 PM, and I think that my one and only book-sister is very, very sweet!!
BTW, you simply MUST get to The Girl Who Played with Fire!! You've only read the first one, right?

I will make sure to tell my kids, they don't think I'm sweet... or my neighbors...or co-workers... nor few remaining friends... hehehehhe.. :D
oh goodness, i know!! I am so behind, but it is on my list... i think by May??? I am excited to read it. I really loved the twists, turns, and the way the story was laid out. Nice storytelling by the author.
Was the girl with the dragon tattoo good? I have it, I heard it doesn't get good till after like 100 pages lolI think that's part of the series your talking about haha
7:44AM Tried to lay back down this AM and just could not go back to sleep, bummer. I like little naps. LOL Will probably finish this book today. I loved it!

It is part of the series. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is the first book. As for your question, it does have a slow start (roughly the first 60-100 pages,) but that didn't really bother me, actually. I found it fascinating, in fact. For me, though, I found the novel as a whole to be a bit misleading, and certainly not worthy of all they hype. I'm enjoying the 2nd installment much, MUCH more!
Thank you for asking.:)

What, your kids don't think you're sweet!? You gotta be kidding me!! Surely your husband agrees with me!
Seeing as how you enjoyed the first book, you're sure to to love the 2nd even more so, IMO! Things really pick up, becoming very intense. I also like Larsson's way of storytelling. He's good!

I love the way the second one ended and the third one started. I really should have rated that series higher.

:) hehe, that's funny. They don't know what they're missing!
It is 1:39 PM, and I really need to get more motivated with my reading. So far, I've only read 5 or 6 books, 3 of which aren't novels. I'm currently 78% into The Help and 71% into The Girl Who Played with Fire

Yeah, but it seems like most of the books you've been reading lately have been massive.

Yeah, for some reason, I seem to be drawn to the massive tomes.. Then when I do pick up a 300-400 page paperback, it feels like practically nothing compared to the others..:)

3:38PM Have dinner started! Having Beef and Noodles. No work out tonight it is rest day so will be taking Aeverie to the playground. He loves to be out and about. Having a hard time getting into 'Black'. It is nothing like I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, its not bad, just not good for me is all. But I will keep at it.

I'm not sure Dustin, I think it has to do with the fantasy feel to the one reality. The normal side, which he thinks strongly is the dream state, I like that part. It just seems like a huge stretch for Dekker. On a good note, Hub just finished Boneman's Daughter and loved it.

Which world would you call "the normal one"? To me, they both have that a semblance of normalcy; they're just different, is all. Does one feel more real than the other? I also liked the non-fantasy one more at first, but then the other grows on you. You'll see.:)
