How far along is the buddy read?
We just started, so people are varying in how far along they are. Some have really just begun to get into it. I'm about 200 pages in but that's probably the farthest anyone has read so far. I'm really taking my time with it.
I have the Pevear and Volokhonsky translation, will that work with the group?
Where do we post comment and questions about the book?I just finished the introduction and it definitely was an excellent hook for the book.

Either War And Peace or The Picture Of Dorian Gray. I understand that War And Peace is long and hard, but maybe if we read it together we can motivate each other to plow through it and finish it!

Hmmm... I've been wanting to read this. I have lot of books going, though. How far into this are you, Janessa, and how quick do you think you'll read it?

If I want to get through something in a hurry, which I often do, I'll stick to the text. Sometimes though I like to just kickback and listen.
Ooh thank you and yes, once you get your head around the slightly different language, the plot is enthralling!:-D
Would you all be willing to start War And Peace the first of the year. Like a lot of you I am swamp with books, plus I have finals coming up which are causing me to become stressed out:(
