I loved having both perspectives even if it did slow down the book at times. I'd miss having a view into both characters thoughts -- that's what made the book so interesting for me. I love to know what the characters are thinking and feeling especially with this type of subject matter. I can't wait for Book 2!!!

I love to kno..."I did enjoy writing both POV's. I may alternate each POV in each chapter, for example; ch. 1 Dylan, ch. 2 Isa. Or perhaps write all of D's POV first, then all of I's POV second. Then a person can choose to read whichever POV they want or both. Oi vey. Decisions, decisions...

I like to be in Dylan's head, so i preffer his POV, but sometimes Isa have interesting things to say. So maybe not alternate each POV in each chapter, but you choose who has more important things to say to readers and that's how you decide who "will talk" in each chapter.
I loved reading both characters POV. Your idea of writing Isa in 1 chapter then Dylan in the next but not backtracking would be awesome. It keeps the story going.

I agree, I like opposing POV's each chapter.
First, I want to say how much I loved this book! I started it yesterday and couldn't put it down! I definitely plan on recommending this book. I think you developed Dylan's and Isa's characters so skillfully. For me, this is so important. I know that deciding on points of view and formatting can be difficult decisions. But to me, relating to the characters and the evolution of their relationship is so much more important.As for the dualing points of views...I think it works for Dylan's and Isa's story and I don't think it is possible to choose a preference for one over the other. I think it is only repetitive when your covering the same exact ground from one chapter to the next without really advancing the story. In some chapters, particularly the beginning, I think hearing the same details from different points of view did not exactly improve the plot line or the evolution. But later in the story after their relationship becomes established, the differences in their points of view become key to the evolution of the story. Then it seems to help advance the story and is not necessarily repetitive.
One way to manage this is to layout the story in one point of view, then in the next point of view/chapter, simply summarize the salient points up front. Have the thrust of the new chapter/point of view be the reaction and of course the next steps. Again I think retracing some aspects in some chapters is necessary but it does not have to be predominant in every chapter.
If I had a real complaint it would be that you haven't finished the second book yet! Ugh! I love Dylan and Isa. I can't wait to continue their story.

I'm trying to stay focused with Book 2 but theres lots of conflict and I fear I'm going over board. I've written it with alternating POV's to keep the story moving.

Oh, this is really good news.
Anticipated release date of Book 2 - 12/23/12. I was set back a few days with my daughter being ill, but I'm finishing the last chapter now and doing edits as well.

Anyone who has held off reading it because of the repeating POV's, that is no longer an issue as it has been completely remedied.
I finished the revised edition this morning and I absolutely loved it!! I've already bought book 2 and will be starting this evening!! I was so excited that there is also a third book! I love the characters you've created and finally we have a female character that takes some control!!! It's also nice to read a series where the female lead doesn't piss me off!!

Just finished Submission and I am amazed. I loved it. I need to reread because I read very fast and sometimes miss details, but OMG. I am in awe. Thank you.
