Oh how was Over the Rainbow??? I've done 3 blog posts for the author but haven't had time to read it :$

I actually REALLY liked it. It was trippy, like Alice in Wonderland. But if you have a good imagination and can brace for the strangeness, it's great. Imagine if the Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, and Jurassic Park were rolled into a single story.

I really liked that series. I just didn't like that the story continues in another series. don't understand why there has to be 2

Oh really? I didn't know that the series continues in another series, that just seems strange. Is the other series good?

I love that series! I can't believe I have to wait until May for The One! What did you think of America in the second book? She kinda angered me a bit through most of it...

Having just devoured The Mortal Instruments and absolutely loved them, I'm reading The Infernal Devices by the same author. I'm also rereading The Mortal Instruments, currently City of Bones, because I read them too fast and I want to read them slowly this time.

I just finished The Infernal Devices!! Love all her books but I've only read through the first three in TMI. I gotta catch up before the next one comes out!

message 372: by [deleted user] (new)

The Mortal Instruments just get better and better with each book :3 I fell in love with the characters, especially Jace and Isabelle. The Infernal Devices is pretty good too, though I can't say I like it as much as TMI. Although I've only read Clockwork Angel so far, so I can't pass judgement yet.

I <3 Alec so much. Him and Magnus Bane are just perfect! Plus I love Magnus being in pretty much every book, it brings the series and short stories together in my eyes.

YAY! SO glad you like The Shadowhunter Chronicles! It's one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE series! I read all of the books, fell in love with them, then forced all my friends to read them. Now they're in love with them too. :D

Right now I'm reading The Clan of the Cave Bear (Earth's Children, #1) by Jean M. Auel . It's a really interesting book about what might have happened if Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals lived at the same time. If you're interested in history this book is good, but be warned: there is mature content (like, adult mature content, not teen)!

I also just finished reading Immortal Beloved (Immortal Beloved, #1) by Cate Tiernan , Darkness Falls (Immortal Beloved, #2) by Cate Tiernan , and Eternally Yours (Immortal Beloved, #3) by Cate Tiernan . I really liked this series! The main character of the story, Natasya, has a really funny narrative voice. It's a unique series, a different take on what it might be like to be immortal and to have the ability to use magic.

And of course, I read Saving Raphael Santiago (The Bane Chronicles, #6) by Cassandra Clare , the latest installment in The Bane Chronicles that just came out on the 17th. 8D

@Ariel: Lol I'm currently trying to get all my friends to read TMI & TID as well.

message 380: by [deleted user] (new)

And I'm currently reading Looking for Alaska by John Green . And of course The Rise of the Hotel Dumort (The Bane Chronicles, #5) by Cassandra Clare which I just couldn't miss :3

I'm hoping TID and TMI meet at some point. I'd love to see Tessa and Jem meet Clary and the rest some day! I know she's writing more stories once TMI is finished next year, so it's still possible!
