LOL, yes! Same narrator and yet she completely changed the pronunciations in this one. What was that about?
I guess my biggest problem is with the book itself. The first two were stories with a heavy dose of sex. This one, so far, just seems like the story is just there as an excuse to throw in more sex and she's setting herself a challenge as to how many men she can get in Merry's bed in one scene. For me, it just isn't balanced enough and routinely takes me out of the story. Meh... Again, I appreciate that people lover her and this series, I guess it just isn't for me.
I am one of those people who like to know how a series ends so I kept reading the Merry series but I will not kid you a few of those books I am like really 3 chapters about sexual intercourse nice can we have equal time with say the plot? I was really into the whole political thing with both the humans and the courts so I would attempt to skim through all the over sex scenes. I wonder if someone ghost writes for her because her characters changed drastically and there are some huge pot holes as the series has gone by. Way to many WTH moments but knowing me if there is a new one at the library I may take a look at it but this is not a series I would purchase.
I definately skimmed over some parts in the series. I was drawn in by the fey. I am very curious about men's histories & past identities. I keep hoping to get more information about it. The politics were also intriguing.
That's it - I enjoy the story line and find it interesting. And yes, I'd definitely like to know more about Doyle, Frost, Rhys and the others beyond their obvious skill in the bedroom. ;)I've only read the first Anita Blake book, but I understand those change quite a lot a few books into the series. I'm guessing a change to her personal circumstances may have played some part, but that's only based on a rumor I've heard.

I just read about Strange Brew on Rachel Caine's site. Not sure how that one slipped past my radar, but it's due out 7/7.

With a title like "Fade Out" do we think she's wrapping up Morganville? Anyone know if she had a set number of books planned for the series?
Jennifer, that is QUITE the list. Thanks to those who are doing all the work for us lazy folk (i.e. ME)!
Death's Excellent Vacation.

Michelle M. wrote: "With a title like "Fade Out" do we think she's wrapping up Morganville? Anyone know if she had a set number of books planned for the series?"She had a recent entry in her blog about the series being turned into audio books and she specifically mentioned "all 9 books" - so I guess we have two more to look forward to after Fade Out (The Morganville Vampires, Book 7). =)

- City of Glass (Cassandra Clare)

I also heard that Kat Richardson has a new one coming out called Vanished. I think it is 8/4/09 I cannot wait for Dead and Gone I love Sookie though.
I'm a little behind on my Kat Richardson books, another set of books i need to finish lol.I'm so excited for Dead and Gone but I don't know if I can stomach buying the hardcover. The others I have only in paperback. I hate when author's switch :(
My bets are that it's the publishers who switch.I just noticed, in my search for yet more books to read, that the next Mercy book is coming out 2/1/10. It's called Silver Borne. Seems like so far away!

I just finished Seduced by Moonlight on audio, and I had a hard time with it, too. I had enjoyed the others, but this one was rather off to me. Maybe it didn't help that the narrator kept using weird pronunciation--like Dole for Doyle. I'm hoping the next one is better.
