B J Walsh (benwals) | 4 comments Hi everyone, I'm really keen to find some reviews for my recently published debut ebook 'The Adventure of Stan and the Emerald of Foundation'. The book is a fantasy novel aimed at young-adults, but also suitable for middle grade readers. I have inserted the synopsis below:

99.9% of boys born in Oadford are destined to fish, farm or build. Stan Pike falls into the other 0.1%. Not all boys are born equal.

Stan Pike is the son of a fisherman, who lives with his father and elder brother in the remote fishing village of Oadford, set beneath the ominous looking Mount Smouldotion, home to the terrifying dragon, Gordon the Gruesome. Gordon created mayhem for the townsfolk for decades, but has not been seen for nearly a hundred years. All this changes however, when Stan, his elder brother Edgar and his best friend Marvin enter Gordon's lair, and an unfortunate blunder from the kind hearted but dim witted Marvin awakens the dragon, resulting in the devastating destruction of Oadford..

The only way to save Stan's town is to find the mystical Emerald of Foundation, a magical emerald with the ability to construct anything. Stan joins a quest of brave town folk in the hunt to find the Emerald, but they are not alone in seeking the prize. Gustavo, the evil wizard, leads a fierce goblin army to the Emerald's resting place, as he seeks it to ensure world domination. The resulting race for the Emerald results in betrayal, sacrifice, heart break, booby traps, mass battles and heart pounding encounters, and is not to be missed.

Audrey Lewis | 12 comments If anyone is interested in short stories and would like a pdf in exchange for review, please message me. Everybody has a story these are ours.

A collection of seven short stories that explore events, experiences and memories. Each story, while unique, brings the reader in touch with the inner monologue of the characters bringing their reality to life. Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Daughter, Son, Wife, and Husband – this book pulls together independent stories that are compelling and thought-provoking. These stories center around strong female characters. Readers meet: Lexi’s mom, as she struggles to understand her daughter; Abigail, now grown, remembering her nanny Chamele and the life lessons she shared; a sister trying to forge an adult relationship with a once-adored older sibling; a woman finding beauty in a place others have forgotten; another woman finding a true understanding of what holds meaning to her; Claire, the empty-nester and her “girls night out” group with an unusual twist, and Megan – lost but not forgotten. But don’t judge a book by its cover, in each story nothing is exactly as it seems.

Thank you

Basil Ackroyd, a refugee from a financial scandal in an English municipal council, becomes the mayor of a small town in the French Midi saturated with expatriates. He has been running the town as his own domain for many years when outside influences threaten to rob him of his ill-gotten gains.

James E. Rota, DDS | 1 comments Controversial Non-Fiction Book Needs Reviews! This is the book the American Dental Association DOES NOT want you to read!

"Mirror of the Body" is partially biographical, as I am one of the pioneers in holistic dentistry. After 50 years in dentistry, I am sharing my uncommon story about biological dentistry, the dangers of mercury fillings, and what you can do to save yourself and to stop the madness of mercury in dentistry.

In the book, I answer questions that the American Dental Association may not want you to ask:

- Why don't dentists know or speak about mercury in the dental filling?

- How are teeth connected to the rest of the body?

- What is the scientific basis for the position of both the ADA and anti-mercury filling groups?

- How are "silver" dental fillings related to chronic diseases?

Mercury – a highly toxic element – has played a central theme in my life, from childhood and throughout my dental career. “Silver” fillings contain 50 percent mercury, which made me sick, causing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, burnout, depression and Epstein-Barr Syndrome, among other diseases.

As one of many people hoping to ban the use of mercury in dentistry, I stand by the importance of safe mercury removal protocols. Mirror of the Body chronicles my life, delving deep into the Amalgam Wars and scientific evidence, offering dentists, health professionals, and consumers an expert and revelatory view on the toxins in dentistry and their effect on the rest of the body.

I am offering a free copy - signed, if you like. Or, if you’re interested, I'd be happy to send you a PDF copy. Please contact me via email, or message me here. Thanks!

Alexandro Chen | 1 comments Kindle eBook: Animal Suicide (FREE promotional period).

Animal Suicide

Summary:

Li-Mei had a trauma-free childhood, has an eccentric but caring mother, and has just been admitted to a top university. Only one problem. She wants to commit suicide.

However, after learning about the curious death of her chihuahua, she postpones the idea to dive in into the world of animal suicide. In it she meets peculiar animals: cliff-jumping cows, bridge-leaping dogs, beach-stranding whales. As well as peculiar humans: the passionate founder of a controversial university club, a girl who’s addicted to alcohol and costumes, and a conservationist with an unnatural childhood obsession. Will these unusual characters convince Li-Mei that life’s worth living, or worth losing?

Driven by morbid humor and unconventional romance, Animal Suicide explores the purpose of life when there seems to be no purpose at all.

G.W. Eccles (gweccles) | 15 comments Anyone interested in reviewing an advance copy of Corruption of Power by G W Eccles? It is the second in the Leksin thriller series (the first was The Oligarch) and is to be published as kindle and paperback by Peach Publishing within the next few weeks. Brief synopsis below. At this stage I can supply a free copy (PDF or mobi file of the manuscript prepared for review purposes only). I am looking for reviews that will be posted on Amazon UK & USA and Goodreads once the book is published.

Let me know if you are interested on gweccles@gweccles.com.

Brief synopsis: Independent troubleshooter, Alex Leksin, is recruited by Prime Minister Saidov when the plan to reduce Russia’s reliance on an ever more hostile Europe is put at risk. Hell-bent on expansion, President Karpev’s strategy is to shift the markets for his country’s vast energy resources to the East and Saidov has been charged with overseeing a planned pipeline for Russia’s oil through Turkmenistan and Afghanistan to access these markets. Failure could mean catastrophe, spreading the conflict raging in the Middle East to Russia’s own borders.

Fearful that the pipeline deal might be tilting off course, Leksin has only twelve days to report back before Karpev is due to sign the pipeline contract with the Turkmen President in Ashgabat.

His investigation begins in Moscow at the conglomerate responsible for planning and funding the pipeline. Once the province of larger-than-life oligarch, Lev Usenko, the group is now run by its CEO, Vika, the woman Leksin was once to marry. Trickier still is the prospect of dealing with her embittered brother, Max.

Against a background of political corruption, state-sponsored terrorism and increased Taliban insurgency, Leksin flies down to Turkmenistan, one of the world's most sinister countries, right at the heart of Central Asia. Initially his enquiries reveal nothing to cause alarm. Other factors, though, suggest otherwise: wherever Leksin goes, someone tries to kill him; people in a position to help him are assassinated; and information turns out to be misinformation.

And when at last he discovers the truth, he finds himself unsure of whom he can trust as the stakes get frighteningly higher.

Best,
Isaac

Description:

Kai is a nobody. 一无所有 (yìwúsuǒyǒu), or "poor as dirt" as they say in the martian city of Mazhou. Mazhou is a city that more closely resembles a petri dish than a civilization. "A test tube of Darwinian economics mixed with cultural sterility."

And Kai - she's just an unremarkable woman in one "hell" of a society. She's statistically average, in every way, and terribly isolated from those around her. A recluse among recluses. A person with no interest in escaping the dystopic hive of dwindling commerce that is Mazhou. And despite the horrendous pay she earns at the quarry, she remains a devoted light machinery technician of the ubiquitous Chara Corporation. A true champion of mediocrity, but one that never had better alternatives.

It’s this mediocrity in particular that makes her so perfectly suited for the Mivax vaccine study, which is presented to her by her shrewd and cryptic uncle: Rem Jia. After a bit of convincing, she realizes that she just can’t bring herself to pass up the offer. Its too easy. All she has to do is to participate in the study as a test subject, for two weeks. And upon completion, there'd be a lump-sum payment of 12,000 credits. A small fortune for someone of her status.

But what's Rem’s true agenda? Is he really looking to help Kai, or is he planning to betray his last living relative? What other things are out there, lurking in the darkness of the future?

Groovy Lee Hi, Everyone

I would love to give this another try. I write wholesome Kindle suspense and romantic/suspense. If anyone is interested in reviewing one of my two novels listed below, you can contact me here, or email me at atreyhu@att.net, and I will gladly gift you a copy.

If you do, please let me know when I can expect a review, and where you will post them. Thank you...

Cause She's a Good Girl by Groovy Lee

CAUSE SHE'S A GOOD GIRL--Suspense

SYNOPSIS: Piper Banion spent most of her eighteen years trying to do the impossible—gain her abusive mother’s love. But the older she gets, the more she realizes that a parent’s undying love is something you don’t have to vie for, compromise your principles for, nor beg for in your prayers. Connie will always see her as a “worthless burden”. Still, it was hard making that life-altering decision that freed Piper from the chains of her defective childhood.

After five years of wandering from one small town to the next, she finds a true friend in Shelly Jamison, a runaway mom, slash, devout party girl, and outspoken rebel against the rich and powerful—her family included. Following the not-so-surprising pink slips they received one Monday, coupled with the alley fight between her and Shelly’s boy-toy, Tomas, Piper finally gives in to her friend’s invitation to spend the summer at her family’s estate in Destin, California. At last, she gets to meet Shelly’s S.E.X.Y. cousin Oz Jamison.

Oz owns a PR firm in Seattle, Washington. Hardly a day goes by that he can’t turn a corner without being asked those headache-provoking questions: “Are you Prince? Would you sign my Purple Rain DVD? Touch my copy of your latest CD? Better yet, touch me instead?” With skin the color of smooth vanilla, and the sensual glint in those caramel-brown eyes, even a pledged virgin like Piper has to fight off the lure of his sexuality. She opts instead for a friendship based on their shared abusive backgrounds while he house-sits for his aunt and uncle during the summer.

Piper is determined to forge a better life in California, but the collective cries of nine murdered women reaching out to her from those weekly news bulletins suspends that task. Someone is killing all the women she comes into contact with, and that's where the connection ends. Her “pureness” seems to be the trump card that enables her to walk away from the rage that consumes him and the lives of his unsuspecting victims. But the next time they meet, a head start is all she’ll get.

In the chaos off trying to get away, she learns that Shelly has disappeared. A muffled voice over the phone claims responsibility; And it’s not the Silk Stocking Serial Killer who’s daring her to come rescue her friend.

Colors In The Dark by Groovy Lee

COLORS IN THE DARK--romantic/suspense

SYNOPSIS: Hailey Campbell was raised by her adoptive mother, Big-Mama, in a home filled with unconditional love and foster children. Her biological mother was a heroin addict and couldn’t keep her; her father, a right-wing conservative with a secret vice his social circle must never discover. So, it was a blessing that someone with so much to give raised her to be a strong, intelligent woman whose loyalty to those she loved knew no boundaries. And that would come in handy when her best friend, Meagan, decided to leave her abusive husband, and Hailey was right there by her side as her moral and physical support; or when she needed the courage to expose the ones behind the city’s bank robberies that resulted in the deaths of three people.

And yet, in her day to day struggles of trying to deal with this kooky puzzle called her life, the idea of true love never held any priority. Was there ever such a thing as the, quote, “man of your dreams”, your, “soul mate”? If she had to judge by the Neanderthals who only had one agenda on their minds just because they paid for her salad and a drink, then that middle-of-the-puzzle piece would forever sit waiting for a match.

So this single, card-carrying virgin, didn’t mind one bit as she stood with her chin lifted proudly in the middle of a room full of expensive tuxedos and glittering gowns surrounding her at an important gala, that she was dateless. She would just continue to sample the high-end cuisine, drink the expensive wine, and mind her business. A man?—why bother? Love—who needs it? No sooner had those pitiable questions crossed her mind when her answer appeared from the midst of all those international dignitaries: The most beautiful man, a simple waiter named Manley, turned and locked eyes with her. As she stood there wide-eyed with a medley of stunned excitement and paralyzing attraction rushing through her head and heart, she knew then she could no longer scoff and joke at such nonsense.

Because of this man, the meaning of true love was finally made clear that night. With this man, her world had forever changed. And despite the mysteries that he was hesitant to reveal about himself, she could stand against anything and anyone that challenged her.

That daunting challenge awaited her in Sweet Tea, Mississippi; Population 700 (that’s not counting the Ransom militia compound at the edge of town) And if she didn’t get there in time and save eighteen month-old Abbie from one of its members, Sheriff Carl, she could lose her behind those thick walls protected by the First Amendment and never see her again.

Robert Grant (robertgrant) | 5 comments Thanks Vincent for setting this up. My second book, The Nostrum Conspiracy, was recently published and I'm looking for reviewers that will post honest comments. It is the second book in a series, but stands alone. Book three is underway. It is classified as both a Thriller and a Romance, since there are strong elements of both. Here is a brief description and a snippet of the book. I can email interested reviewers an ebook in any format. I also have a Goodreads signed first edition book giveaway live now. Enjoy!

Grant Li discovers the girl he always loved, but ignored for many years, has miraculously survived a vicious attack. When she disappears once again from his life, he sets out to find her in the vast Amazon Rainforest. Along the way, he learns of an astounding plant that may cure his mother who was injured years ago in a motorcycle crash.

A young Ginny Bardough first lost Grant, then her father. Now a mysterious phone call sends her searching the Rainforest to find her father. Little do they know, there are more dangerous things in the forest than a crocodile or two. There are forces at play that could cost them everything.

Does Grant find the mysterious plant? Does Ginny find her father? Do Grant and Ginny find each other?

The Nostrum Conspiracy is the Breakout Second Novel by Robert Grant. You’re going to love it.

A Snippet of The Nostrum Conspiracy

“What do you think marriage is?” asked Marguerite.

The lawyer in me spoke up and said, “It’s a legal binding agreement to share one’s life and worldly goods with another person.”

Marguerite raised an eyebrow, but said nothing. Instead she waited for more. I felt like there was something better inside of me to give. It was something more real than the legal bullshit I had just spouted. I swallowed. Marguerite wanted more than legalese and Ginny was looking crushed by my comments.

“It’s completion,” I said. “Like closing a circle. Ginny completes me.”

Marguerite nodded her approval.

“Dude,” said Eric softly.

Camo Girl dabbed at a tear in the corner of her eye.

Pony Tail gripped my shoulder and said softly, “Yes.”

Ginny closed the gap between us in two quick steps. At first I thought she was going to throw her arms around me, but she stopped just short and held me with her eyes.

I liked what I saw in Ginny’s eyes and would have been content to gaze into them, but slowly she stretched a hand to my cheek and caressed it ever so lightly with the back of her finger tips. A spark of electricity crackled between us and some of the tension I had been carrying around for the last few days melted away.

Ginny’s breath quickened. In anticipation of her touch, my breathing matched pace with hers. I wasn’t disappointed. She curled her hand behind my neck and then pulled me into a kiss. I had never experienced anything like it. The kiss filled an ocean of loneliness with love and I knew that I would never be the same.

I just finished co-writing a kindle-only atm YA fantasy novel entitled 'Unleashed' and would be more than happy to gift a copy as either a mobi file or pdf for anyone interested in reviewing it for me. contact me here or at blord78@hotmail.com

Here's the gist of the novel:

Adira has been hidden away in the Sanctuary, a magical forest on the Fae Amber Isles. The only danger or excitement she has ever known came from the books her mother forbid her to read, but that is about to change.

When she uses magic to create fireworks in the Tannix garden, she attracts the attention of something that shouldn't be there, the dreaded Angus. The nightmarish magic seeking hounds have invaded the Fae realms in search of a murderer; but find Adira and her sister instead.

The appearance of the hounds raises many questions for Adira, and the answers will lead her entire family into the Crossroads, where a mystery hundreds of years in the making is waiting to be unraveled.

Michael Puttonen (mput) | 37 comments Greetings everyone,
I would like to request reader reviews for my book Sanyel, the first novel of an ongoing YA series by the same name. This ebook has been out for a while, but I neglected to take advantage of this wonderful forum to request reviews when I first released it, so I am trying to make up for that oversight. These books are action/adventure with a touch of fantasy and include some elements of mystery and sci-fi. This exciting, entertaining, adventure-filled series features an astute teenage protagonist, the daughter of a tribal shaman who becomes the catalyst for change in a male-dominated culture. She is gifted with abilities beyond the norm, and those gifts assist her as she challenges the status quo regarding a woman’s place in her society. Her influence will affect not only her tribe but will extend far beyond it, for her destiny appears to involve bringing change to the wider world.

Each novel in the Sanyel series is a complete, self-contained adventure story with a plot that closes. Threads continue into the subsequent novels, but the main storyline in each concludes. I can email a pdf, epub, or mobi version of Sanyel to anyone willing to post a review on both Goodreads and Amazon. Reviews posted on additional sites would be most welcome, but I leave that up to the reviewer.

You can request a copy of Sanyel in any of the ebook versions mentioned by emailing me at michl.puttonen@gmail.com. This ebook is currently free at most retailers, so if readers would rather search it out and download a copy themselves, that’s fine too. Sorry to those who would prefer a print version of the book, but I can only provide digital copies for this offer.

Thank you and happy reading.
