Hi, I'd be interested in your book. Can we do a review swap? Cheers, KriszLive My Life: Along Comes a Journalist

My novel, The Lion of Kabul, is free today (Tuesday, December 30th 2014) on Amazon. If you decide to read it, please do write a review:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Lion-Kabul-...
“There are things in life I've learned I cannot change: I am an orphan. I grew up in poverty, poverty of the most wretched kind. I shall never forget the fear, the deprivation, the sense of hopelessness. At a young age, I witnessed the horrors of this world; etched in my memory are gruesome, macabre images, images that I cannot erase. For as long as I live, they will always be there—that I know.” These are the words of Ali Iqbal, orphaned at age five, forced to flee his homeland at age nine, abandoned by his foster parents at age eleven. Now happily married and living in America, one night he receives a phone call that throws his world into utter disarray. He must go back to the place of his childhood, to rescue his friend Ahmet—a friend he owes his life to.
The hero of this novel, Ali Iqbal, is scarred by the traumatic events of his past and his heart is full of hate. But he is special: with an intelligence second to none, a talent (painting) that helps him cope with his sorrow and anger, and an ironclad heart that gives him the strength to endure and persevere, he travels from Afghanistan to Turkey and then to America. During his life's journey, he meets some amazing people, bonds with them over the simple pleasures of life, laughs with them, discovers happiness and joy in the comforting warmth of their presence. His final act of devotion and loyalty to his friend Ahmet, and the events that follow, force him to reflect on his own life and the many weeks of silent reflection bring to light something very important (that only now he is beginning to understand and accept): that as callous and cruel as the world may be, it is full of wonderful people.
This novel is the story of Ali's transformation. It carries with it a very important message that will resonate meaningfully given the times that we live in: that the Eastern world and Western world can co-exist peacefully; that the cultural, historical and political barriers that separate us are not insurmountable, because it is the humanity within us that makes us who we are.

Hi all,
An episode in the scifi series Stellar Conflict is available for free reading here at Goodreads. Two other stories in the series (a full-length debut novel and a followup novella) have been picked up by a publisher for 2015.
A link to the story, a 9,700-word novelette entitled The Quiet World, is below, as is the story's blurb. Thanks for any honest reviews.

BLURB:
When a once-vibrant civilization goes mysteriously silent, the Interstellar Alliance sends out a ship to discover why. Once arrived, an untested officer, Commander Caramissa Kreth, is placed in charge of a landing party that's sent down to the planet's surface to investigate. Kreth, a native Saetian -- a species widely known for their timidity -- must show to her superiors, as well as those she leads, that she's up to the task. But will she accomplish her mission and bring back her landing party safely? Or will she prove her detractors correct in doubting her qualifications for command?

I'm offering a free PDF version in exchange for an honest review.
This book, GREEN WITCH, DEAD WITCH, is the fourth in the Detective Annie Avants, KCSO, series set in Kern County, California (Bakersfield). Here's a brief description of the book:
Clem Moonstone is a solitary green witch who owns a metaphysical shop in Bakersfield. She and Detective Annie Avants have been friends for many years. When Annie and her partner, Detective Tom Weston attend the funeral of the victim whose death they are investigating, Annie is surprised to see Clem there. Clem explains to Annie that the young woman whose funeral they are attending is the third person in her circle of friends to die during the past few months.
Annie's gut instinct tells her to look into the previous two deaths, which were ruled accidental. Clem gives her the names of the other two people and the locations where their bodies were found. After Annie obtains the files and begins to research their deaths, she comes to the chilling conclusion that the first two deaths may not have been so "accidental" and that all three victims may have died at the hands of a serial killer.

I have a new novel :
Fort Reiley

It is my spin on the origins and inner-workings of zombies and all things undead. Some call it horror, but I don't find it nearly as creepy/scary as that. Maybe I'm calloused. I'm not sure. I refer to it as Paranormal Fiction with a zombie twist.
If you like zombie books, Urban Paranormal, or just interested in a digital copy for review (sending out physical books is getting to be very expensive), I would gladly provide you with a copy. You can email me through GR, or email me directly at jhanel@gmail.com.
If you have a review site and would prefer a physical copy, contact me and we can discuss the details.
Thanks so very much for taking a few minutes to read this.

Dorothy Mayling thought her worst problem was the long-standing family feud over her sister's choice of husband. Or her son's grades. Then the rumors started - bird flu in Seattle, SARS in Washington State? The truth is a hideous, terrible disease, one that slowly steals away the ability to speak and reason, turning people into nothing more than zombies. Worst of all, it was meant to be a weapon. The Silent Years: Mother
I'd like reviews to be posted on Goodreads - if you want to post them to Amazon, B&N, your blog, etc, that's an extra-awesome bonus. Please email poveyjr at verizon.net with "Mother Review Copy" in the subject line.

Jason Moretti has a job he hates, and he’d like nothing better than to tell his boss to shove it. Then he runs into Monica, the girl he never got over. Thinking she’s settling down with a wealthy fiancé, he reinvents himself as an ambitious career man in a desperate bid to impress her.
Old feelings start to resurface, but Monica has trust issues and Jason doesn’t like risks. To top it off, Monica is leaving for Bangkok in two weeks—and she won’t be back anytime soon. Time is running out for them to come to terms with the past and embrace their wanderlust.

Imagine the experience if an early 19th century slave was to find herself awakened in the 21st century. What if she knew that in one year, she would have no choice but to return to her tumultuous past, or else history would be forever changed.
Time travel is a naturally occurring phenomenon, and the aged scientist, Stanley Graf, has discovered it in a planetary black hole in northern Delaware. Only those in his inner circle know of the existence of time travel. He appoints his granddaughter, Leigh, a psychology doctorate graduate, to await the latest black hole event. When the traveler turns out to be a 28-year-old runaway slave, Harriet, Leigh discovers there is even more to her grandfather’s theory and research than she knew. Just when Leigh is certain she has uncovered all, a mysterious traveler arrives, and new secrets unravel to the end.

I weird love to take up your book
Do send me an .ePub copy to devinair.reviews@gmail.com
thanks :)

I have finally broken the 30 review mark on the first book, Bloodline

in my trilogy, The Forgotten Origins.
However, it's not enough!! :)
If you would like to read it (and if like it, continue to read/review the rest of the trilogy) please let me know! (feel free to direct message)
I would be happy to gift the ebook, send you a PDF or even gift you the audibook version!

I am interested in reading and reviewing books. I will be fair in my reviews, but I will be honest. I am mostly interested in Sci-fi/fantasy and/or comedy. Some of the books I would rate highest would be "The Worthing saga", and "Ender's Game" by Orsen Scott Card; "Les Miserables", and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" by Victor Hugo; The seventh sword series by Dave Duncan; All of the Fitz and Fool books by Robin Hobbs; The first 4 books of the riftwar saga from by Fiest; The Dresden books by Jim Butcher; And pretty much everything travel related that Bill Bryson has written. Some of the books I have disliked: All the Middle Earth books, the wheel of time books ugh, crytonomicon Yikes...
So, if you are interested in me reviewing your book please feel free to email me at oxfam123-reviews@yahoo.com. I will read most formats, but I read faster from a paperback so if time is of the essence paperback is best.
Good luck!!

Thanks. Sending you an email now. Grace

If anyone has the time, I'd love reviews of The Power and The Fury, Eden Chronicles part 1.
A middle grade / crossover adventure with a dollop of fantasy, a sprinkling of dystopia and based in the North of England, this is a face-paced, fun read.
Synopsis:
An ancient prophecy to test mankind’s progress is hidden in the nightmares of three children. Can they decipher their dreams in time to change the course of life on Earth, or will nature get the better of them?
Book 2 coming out in Spring, so looking to build.
pdf / epub's available on request by email. Let me know if interested.

About Rangers:
Sam and Jason have been at this a long time, and they’re some of the best out there. Gremlins, goblins, ghosts of all kind, vampires, even the yeti that time in Cleveland, they go where they’re needed and they kill what needs killed. It’s that simple. And it’s a pretty good life, really.
Then there’s the girl. Samantha. She’s feisty and difficult and she knows next to nothing about what they do, but she’s pretty handy with a hatchet and seems to just keep tagging along with them, city after city, witch after ghost after spirit, despite Jason’s best efforts to ditch her along the way. If he’d had any idea just how complicated she was about to make their lives, he probably would have left her in Georgia.
It’s too bad, really. Sam appears to be in love with her.

I sent you a PM about your book. I would like to read it. thanks!

Hi i would love to review your book by chance. Do u have any paper backs? Cause i dont read e books

I would love a review on my Kindle suspense novel entitled:

Cause She's a Good Girl
SYNOPSIS: Piper Banion spent most of her eighteen years trying to do the impossible—gain her abusive mother’s love. But the older she gets, the more she realizes that a parent’s undying love is something you don’t have to vie for, compromise your principles for, nor beg for in your prayers. Connie will always see her as a “worthless burden”. Still, it was hard making that life-altering decision that freed Piper from the chains of her defective childhood.
After five years of wandering from one small town to the next, she finds a true friend in Shelly Jamison, a runaway mom, slash, devout party girl, and outspoken rebel against the rich and powerful—her family included. Following the not-so-surprising pink slips they received one Monday, coupled with the alley fight between her and Shelly’s boy-toy, Tomas, Piper finally gives in to her friend’s invitation to spend the summer at her family’s estate in Destin, California. At last, she gets to meet Shelly’s S.E.X.Y. cousin Oz Jamison.
Oz owns a PR firm in Seattle, Washington. Hardly a day goes by that he can’t turn a corner without being asked those headache-provoking questions: “Are you Prince? Would you sign my Purple Rain DVD? Touch my copy of your latest CD? Better yet, touch me instead?” With skin the color of smooth vanilla, and the sensual glint in those caramel-brown eyes, even a pledged virgin like Piper has to fight off the lure of his sexuality. She opts instead for a friendship based on their shared abusive backgrounds while he house-sits for his aunt and uncle during the summer.
Piper is determined to forge a better life in California, but the collective cries of nine murdered women reaching out to her from those weekly news bulletins suspends that task. Someone is killing all the women she comes into contact with, and that's where the connection ends. Her “pureness” seems to be the trump card that enables her to walk away from the rage that consumes him and the lives of his unsuspecting victims. But the next time they meet, a head start is all she’ll get.
In the chaos off trying to get away, she learns that Shelly has disappeared. A muffled voice over the phone claims responsibility; And it’s not the Silk Stocking Serial Killer who’s daring her to come rescue her friend.
