M.L. (margieee) | 10 comments I'm looking for reviews of my mystery, Turn Key Condition Turn Key Condition by M.L. Ortega .

It's got some humor in it (while cleaning a model home, BFF's Jane and Maggie find a naked dead man with a donut on his "you know what") but I'm not sure it's a cozy/chicklit. Hope for feedback on that issue along with the review.

Can give you a mobi or pdf if you're interested.

The Science of Loving by Candace Vianna She’s a shy researcher obsessed with muscles. He’s the bad boy of the architectural world, content with his bachelor status until his tattoo artist sister decides to play matchmaker.

Him.. Danny's in love. So, everyone else, meaning me, should be, too.

Her.. He's the scariest man I’d ever seen: Huge, bald, tattooed; a painted Aztec god. All he needs is a bloody alter and a knife.

Colleen | 16 comments For Fantasy/Sci-Fi fans:
Sinister (Sinisters #1) by Colleen Fleshman

"There are evil people carrying out evil acts across the world, and the only ones who can stop them are other
humans. In spite of this, so many people simply turn a blind eye to the need for justice. Your
new abilities are intended to aid you in the fight.” Luke let out what sounded remarkably like a
frustrated sigh. “Your world will crumble around you if you do not fight back.”

Matt Reynolds knows he isn't crazy. But on the day he turns sixteen, he begins to question that assumption. First he starts seeing invisible creatures, and then he meets a stranger who tells him he needs to save the world. With the help of a few new friends and his burgeoning powers, he has just days to uncover the nefarious plot of one of the most powerful men in Madison before the balance of good and evil shifts irrevocably.

If anyone would like a copy of my book in exchange for an honest review, send me a message or post in this thread. Thanks!

Satis | 3 comments Hello everyone!

My debut novel, The Redemption of Erâth, is available to buy through Amazon.com and a number of other outlets; if anyone would like a free copy to read, I'd love to get a review or two to post up in a few places. Here's the blurb:

"In the fallen world of Erâth, a place overrun by the forces of Darkness, a young boy is taken in by his grandfather when his parents perish in a fire at his birth. Feared and misunderstood by everyone around him, Brandyé Dui-Erâth grows up alone, save for a single family who sees the sadness in his heart.

Through his grandfather’s many fireside tales, Brandyé begins to learn the true nature of the world around him. As Darkness and its creatures begin to creep into the once-safe lands of Consolation, he discovers that he has a connection to the long-forgotten ancient world. As events force him down a path of ever-growing danger, he finds his destiny is to suffer both joy and sorrow, and to learn the true nature of Darkness and Death.

The Redemption of Erâth: Consolation is the first in a series of novels chronicling the epic journey of Brandyé Dui-Erâth through the dark and terrifying world of Erâth—a journey that will take him to the ends of land and time and put the salvation of all men in his hands."

If you're interested, please let me know!

William Dusty (WDusty) | 19 comments The Quiet World

Hi all,

I have a novelette (approx. 9,500 words) that I published on Amazon this past spring, and which quickly got buried and left unread for months, now. It's a short read which the so-far single reviewer called "a pleasant little book."

It is available for free at Amazon for three more days (until Wednesday, Oct 1, 2014). After the free term expires, I can provide a PDF copy to any interested reviewers. Book details are below.

The Stellar Conflict series of tales features a strong cast of females characters, lead by Senior Private Alyssa Bretchvelle (the main character) and Fleet Commander Caramissa Kreth. A full-length debut novel (Friends and Enemies) and a novella (Sebastian's Prize) have also been picked up in 2014 by Eternal Press for future publication.

Thanks to anyone who replies.

Book: "The Quiet World" (Stellar Conflict)
Genre: Science fiction

The blurb:
"When a once-vibrant civilization goes mysteriously silent, the Interstellar Alliance sends out a ship to discover why. Once arrived, an untested officer, Commander Caramissa Kreth, is placed in charge of a landing party that's sent down to the planet's surface to investigate. Kreth, a native Saetian -- a species widely known for their timidity -- must show to her superiors, as well as those she leads, that she's up to the task. But will she accomplish her mission and bring back her landing party safely? Or will she prove her detractors correct in doubting her qualifications for command?"

On Amazon at, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JNIGER8

I will contact anyone who expresses an interest in reviewing this story following the expiration of the free promotion.

Thanks,
- Bill Dusty

Zara-jo Palmer | 30 comments Are you supposed to offer books free in exchange for reviews or do we have to buy them?

What happens if a reader doesn't like a book?

They SOUND great, but it's not like choosing a book when you can read the sample chapters.

Are you really interested in what a reader like me thinks or do reviews help you sell your books?

message 937: by William (new)

William Dusty (WDusty) | 19 comments Reviews do help sell books. But what the readers think also helps writers do better. My book was free for a few days on Amazon before going back to 99 cents, but I'm sending a PDF copy out to anyone interested in reading & reviewing it.

message 938: by Pam (new)

Pam Bonsper | 23 comments I ask for readers to read and review my book without asking them to buy it. I send a pdf of my book. I think it is understood by authors that the pdf is for them alone and not to be shared. If they like what they read, they may end up purchasing it, or not. It's completely up to them. If they write an honest review, that is all I'm asking for. So I have to be ready to accept a review by a reader who doesn't like the book. Of course I am interested in what a reader like you thinks. You are a reader and I wrote my book to be read, not to sit in a warehouse. And yes, reviews may help in selling the book. Maybe not. For me, the feedback is what is important. It will make my next book better.
If, in reversing the coin, I offer to read and write reviews for authors, I find it expands my reading repertoire and makes me a better writer and a better person. Afterall, isn't that what reading and writing are all about?

message 939: by Darrell (new)

Darrell Case | 3 comments Sorry, yes the books are free for review. If you send me your address I will send you a paperback copy or if you like a PDF copy. If you don't like the book please let me know why. This will help me to be a better writer. I hope this helps
God bless

Hi Everyone, my name is Lucy Nichols and I am a self-published Australian Author. I would love it if someone reviewed my books on Amazon! A Russian Tale An Attribute of Anna Karenina by Lucy Nichols

A Russian Tale is an attribute of Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina - but with a twist.

Set in the backdrop of 19th century High Russian society, A Russian Tale is a novel of unparalleled richness and complexity.
Anna Karenina a beautiful married women, after pursuing a doomed love affair with the handsome Count Vronsky, a wealthy army officer is shunned by society for her adulterous actions.
Anna succumbs to her desires after her initial reluctance, falling passionately in love. But will her decision set in motion a chain of events that lead to her downfall?

In this extraordinary novel, Lucy Nichols seamlessly weaves together the characters lives and a forbidden love to create a stunning setting to indulge the reader in. A Russian Tale is the lost story of Anna Karenina, where love clashes with unrealistic expectations and fate spiralling turns.

Really appreciate it if you check my new novel on Amazon.
