Rachel Strayer | 2 comments Hello all,
I published the first book in my series, Falling Night and Rising Day: Book of Swords Falling Night and Rising Day Book of Swords by Rachel Strayer , at the beginning of this year, and I don't have any reviews anywhere yet!

Here's the gist:
For hundreds of years, fortune tellers and commoners alike have used tarot cards as tools to predict the future. Rife with symbols of divine beings and the power of the stars, an air of mystery and superstition has long surrounded these elaborately crafted decks. When the past and the future melt together in a chaotic mind, however, they can be the only path out of a place where reality clashes with fantasies and nightmares alike. A modern day oracle, fearing the rapid approach of madness within her unquiet thoughts, dives into Olympian dreamscapes and psychological battlegrounds in a journal that serves as a road map through insanity. When she is engulfed in the darkness of the suit of swords, however, the only light to be found is fire.

I'm still trying to get the word out, so I would be more than happy to provide a promo code for a free e-book in exchange for a review. Contact me at starlessblueeyes@yahoo.com if interested.

Steven Freeman | 32 comments I recently published my second book in a romantic mystery/thriller series and am working to "get the word out" on my stories.

Would you be interested in receiving free eBook versions of one or both of the two novels in exchange for an honest review of each in Goodreads and Amazon? The feedback so far has been encouraging. ("Nefarious" has an average rating of 4.6 in Goodreads and 4.8 in Amazon; "Ruthless" has a 4.9 in Goodreads and 5.0 in Amazon, albeit with fewer ratings.)

Here are links to the two books so you can see if they might be your cup of tea:
Nefarious
Ruthless

If you're interested, please send me a personal message with your preferred format: Kindle, Nook, or good old PDF. Also, let me know to what email address I should send the files.

Thanks,

Steven F. Freeman

Louis (louisdresner) | 1 comments Hi all,

I'm new to the group so apologies in advance for any faux pas.

I'm doing some publicity for a new book by South African fantasy and sci-fi author Kevin Craig Mortimer. The book is called The Depth of Darkness and is what might be called a 'space opera'. Check out the page for a proper synopsis - The Depth of Darkness

Looking for reviews as the book has only just come out, so happy to send out digital versions in exchange for review. Please message me if you're interested.

Thanks!
Louis

Mike Bove (mikebove) | 8 comments Hi, my new book needs reviews.
Please check it out on my website first. It is not a romance. It is not Sci-fi, paranormal, and there are no prehistoric or futuristic monsters.
"Stinger Maguire" is the second in my Bruce DelReno Series. Bruce is a senior sleuth who plays a lot of golf. (that may turn some readers off, but some non-golfers loved my first book, "Willowtree")
Bruce and his Apache friend do their own investigating when the body of a professional golfer is found in their small Arizona town.
If anyone is interested I will send a smashwords code for a free copy of the e-book. Contact me through my website, a message at Goodreads, or a direct email: mike@mikebove.net
Also, enter my Giveaway until 4/18 for a paperback copy. Thanks, Mike Bove

Jayram Krishnan has a led a privileged life as an upper-caste Hindu in the south Indian city of Bangalore. He impulsively travels up north to Gujarat, to volunteer in a human rights movement that has sprung up to combat the violence. He goes to Ahmedabad, the largest city in Gujarat, and discovers the Sabarmati - a river running through the city, ghettoizing it; acting as more than just a physical divide. Carnage on one side; sterile affluence on the other. It soon runs through Jayram too, and he discovers more about himself than he might be able to endure. He starts leading a dual life on either side of the river, and across the Sabarmati he slowly starts to find answers that he's still discovering questions for.

In Afghanistan, a US Army Patrol is devastated by an enemy with sophisticated weaponry, while in D.C., Pentagon staffer Scott Jenson tips off the ambitious young reporter Brooke Kinley about a billionaire businessman’s involvement in terrorism. But why is the White House determined to protect this businessman, and why does the answer seem to lie in the Canadian wilderness? David Hi all. I have two books for which I'd like reviews if you're willing. The first is a how-to manual on graphic design for beginners. It will be free on Amazon through Friday, April 4, 2014.

Here's a taste of the stories:

Aubwoo — Yesterday, he was the most respected poet in the land. Today, harnessed like a camel, they lead him around the women’s quarters. Will he be executed, or find a way to freedom?
Prince Kazal — When he seeks shelter in a desert cave, a beautiful woman shows him her unusual collection.
Kasiya — Unless the king believes his story, Kasiya will lose his head. Can an old dog teach the king new tricks?

Tara Ellis | 52 comments *FREE* EBOOK until 4/10/14

I wanted to let you know about my middle grade book that is free on amazon for three days!

'The Mystery of Hollow Inn', is the #1 book in a new mystery/detective series I just launched. It follows twelve-year-old Sam and her best friend Ally as they unravel mysteries and a legend surrounding an old inn in the mountains of Montana.

If you like your kids to read a clean, fun book with a good message, then this series won't disappoint you! (or if you are like me and still go back to Trixie Beldon or Nancy Drew for a feel-good story every once in awhile!)

You all know how hard it is to get reviews, and it would be great if I could manage to get a few from this promotion!

Thanks for your time. :)

Check it out now!

K.S. Daniels (ksdaniels) | 22 comments Hi All,

My second SF novel should be out in May, but in the meantime, I'm looking for anyone interested in reviewing the first book of the series either here on Goodreads, Amazon, or a blog or magazine you are affiliated with. I'll post the description below, but please pm me via Goodreads to request a review copy. If you enjoy the first book, I am in the process of gathering request for an ARC of the second novel in the series so let me know if you'd like to receive a copy of that as well.

The best I can describe my series, if I had to do it in one sentence, would be this: Imagine Isaac Asimov wrote a book like Brave New World, except the protagonist is Jane Eyre and she pilots a Mech for Earth's most elite fighter squad. Let that sink in a bit, now here's the full description:

Vladia Robespierre has always had a past to hide. Raised by the aristocracy instead of the State Rearing Facilities, her half-brother is all she's ever admired, respected, and counted on. But with war on the horizon and a rising body count, is he really who she thinks he is? And if her brother is the enemy, what does that make her?

Set in the not too distant future, The Valkyrie Profiles is the first in a trilogy that examines the technological and governmental influences on the degeneration of human relations and the elitism of class division. Although Earth is militaristically strong, its social and cultural collapse has become a disease that now threatens to take down the entire solar system.

Here's the link to the book's GR page as well: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Thanks Everyone!

message 641: by Jamie (new)

Jamie (jamierbw) | 1 comments The Boy Who Was Afraid of the World is the true story of one individual who chose to walk away from a childhood of crippling anxiety and a comfortable life, in order to trust in the goodness of strangers by hitchhiking across Europe.

Told in the first person, this story encapsulates the dizzying highs and desperate lows of what happens when choosing to let go of a comfortable home and a safe job. It is a story about the places, but more so, of the people from the road. Six months is an awfully long time to rely upon the kindness of strangers.

This is not an epic adventure or a travel book. This is not a story about defeating fear and being courageous. It’s more of an internal roller-coaster spread across a whole continent. This is real life and sometimes real life is big and scary.

If you are interested in reading this book, please check out http://www.greatbigscaryworld.com/the... where you can download a sample to see what you think. If you think that it is your thing, please message me jamierbw@greatbigscaryworld.com and I will email you a digital copy so that you can review it.

My name is Grant Reed, and I am the author of six fantasy novels. I have most recently published my Vellian Mysteries series (two of the three novels are online while the third is out to my test readers) on Smashwords and Amazon.

I am looking for reviewers for the first book, "Welcome to Deep Cove." The genre is /Mystery/Fantasy/Humour, and the book is 80,701 words in length.

Shoveling manure, chasing cats, and dock duty seem to be the order of the day.
