Ryan Bracha (ryanbracha) | 19 comments Hi all, my 30k word novella, the cringe inducingly hilarious The Banjo String Snapped but the Band Played on is currently free. Don't bother if you're averse to swearing, drugs, blasphemy and scenes of a sexual nature. Do bother if you're not easily offended.

Julie Otzelberger | 1 comments Charles Dickens wrote: "What greater gift than the love of a cat." My name is Julie Otzelberger, and I wrote a young adult novel titled The Cat That Went to Homecoming because Charles Dickens was correct. I am looking for reviews, and will give away 2 signed books in exchange for two reviews. My novel is an effort to create awareness of bullying, and offer solutions to heighten elf esteem. The story is suitable for pre-teens and older. I hope to reach a few people interested in giving my book a chance.

Hello! I am looking for reviews for my book, The Capulet Death. It has almost 80,000 words in it and falls under the category of Contemporary fiction and [Tragic] Romance.

The full text is currently free in Smashwords through the use of the coupon code GW96R. Oh, and I am also looking for authors I could exchange reviews with who writes under the same genre.

Thanks in advance for checking out the book! :-)

Below is the blurb for the book:

"There is a fine line between hope and desperation just like there is with love and lust. When the lines get blurred, our judgment gets clouded and we later end up blind, heading to a direction that may lead us to the wrong destination. I don't want that.

However, it seems to be too late now."

Since being saved by a strange man eight years ago, Blythe Hoult has devoted her life to finding him. In the course of eight years after the encounter, she has become a muse to many criminals, making the FBI come crawling to her for help in search of the most elusive mastermind among all, The Magician.

Bent on proving to herself that finding a stranger from eight years ago is still a possibility, she entangles herself with the mission to find the mythical Magician.

Little did she know that she was in for more than what she bargained.

I would love to read anything science fiction, and review it on my blog (in addition to goodreads, of course). I also read extraordinarily fast, if that helps. :)

Ryan Bracha (ryanbracha) | 19 comments Hi all,

I'm looking for a review swap ideally, with as many people as would like to take part. I released my third novel 6 weeks ago and am looking to boost the review count a little bit. It is Paul Carter is a Dead Man, and is a semi-dystopian satirical thriller. I'm looking for contemporary fiction, crime/criminals, and anything that is either really dark, or really funny, or both.

If you want to do a review swap then give me a message and we can do the business!

Thanks,

John Dizon | 108 comments Looking for reviews for my women's fiction action/adventure novel - drop me a line!

Nightcrawler by John Reinhard Dizon

Nightcrawler is about the exploits of Sabrina Brooks, the heiress to the Brooks Chemical Company. Bree is trying to pick up the pieces after her father's death, and is now in a position to live up to a personal commitment to use her resources to benefit the oppressed. She is intrigued by the notion of conducting a guerrilla campaign against drug gangs in New York City, and accesses top-secret archives detailing Government contracts for developmental research of chemical weapons. She uses her wizardry in chemistry to concoct weapons for her own use as a vigilante known as the Nightcrawler. NYPD undercover officer Hoyt Wexford becomes friends with Bree, and begins to suspect she knows the identity of the Nightcrawler. Her sudden interest in a series of terrorist attacks in the New York area makes him believe she may be investigating a group called the Octagon. He tries to follow her but is too late to prevent a showdown between the Nightcrawler and the mysterious Reaper. Hoyt rescues Bree and learns her secret identity, and together they plan to stop the Octagon once and for all in preventing a chemical attack in NYC on the Fourth of July. This is a pulse-pounding thriller straight out of world headlines, with an unforgettable heroine fighting impossible odds against fiendish arch-criminals. For suspense fans looking for some chick lit with international intrigue, Nightcrawler is one not to be forgotten.

Igor Ljubuncic (igorljubuncic) | 8 comments Hello guys and gals,

The Betrayed by Igor Ljubuncic The Broken by Igor Ljubuncic

My name is Igor Ljubuncic, I am the author of The Betrayed and The Broken, books one and two in my four-book epic fantasy series, The Lost Words.

I would like to offer up to five FREE SIGNED physical copies of each of these two books, in return for an honest review on Amazon and Goodreads.

If you also post a review on your personal site, again entirely honest GOOD or BAD, if you want, you will also get a free one month ad on my tech-related site, which garners 1.3 million views each month!

If you are interested, please PM me here, or email:
press at thelostwordsbooks dot com

I honestly hope you will enjoy this. The Betrayed has a total of 38 Amazon reviews with 4.1/5.0 rating, 11 Goodreads ratings with 3.55/5.0 grade. The Broken has 14 Amazon reviews with 4.2/5.0 rating, 5 Goodreads ratings with 4.0/5.0 grade.

Here's the backcover blurb for The Betrayed - I will not post the second book text, because it's one GIANT spoiler. But you may read if you will, at your own peril!

-----

In the ancient land of the Realms, where armies clash and heroes arise, only the most cunning and courageous can redeem a war torn land from certain annihilation. The Betrayed, Igor Ljubuncic's epic, gritty fantasy novel, spins a searing tale of a world in the throes of war. With furious, fast-paced action and fascinating characters, this wildly inventive saga will thrill anyone who demands fantasy at the top of its game.

A war is brewing in the Realms. When the new religious sect of Feor from Caytor invades the Safe Territories, the home of the old gods, Commander Mali of Eracia scrambles to counter its advance. To that end, Adam, an Eracian prostitute who awaits hanging, is spared to join the army. In the Territories, a former criminal Ayrton and his young protégée Ewan face the threat of the invaders. Can the ruthless followers of Feor be stopped, and the old faith be saved?

As nations clash, old rivalries are set aflame and nothing seems sacred, sinister and ancient secrets are revealed. With wit and adrenalin, The Betrayed weaves a taut and textured landscape of warring factions, foes and allies, to deliver a full-on fantasy tale for the ages.

Regards,
Igor

Steven Freeman | 32 comments I recently published Ruthless, a romantic mystery/thriller.

RUTHLESS is the second novel in a series, although it functions perfectly well as a standalone book. The first book in the series, Nefarious, has a rating of 4.8 on Amazon and 4.6 on Goodreads, and early feedback on RUTHLESS has been similarly encouraging.

In order to get the word out on my new book, I am offering a digital copy of RUTHLESS to the first five people who promise to write a review on Amazon and Goodreads and also consent to my copying their reviews for my website and facebook page.

So...If you would like to read RUTHLESS, kindly send me a message indicating your preferred format: Kindle, Nook, or good old PDF. Of course, please supply the email address to which I should send the file.

Thanks!

Sodom: A Nation On Its Knees

Sodom A Nation On Its Knees (The Search for the Righteous, #1) by Pam Funke

Genre: Christian fiction, Thriller, Suspense
Blurb: 3,902 years ago, there was a city so evil, corrupt and filled with sin that God saw no other choice, but to completely destroy it. The city of Sodom was completely destroyed by a rain of fire in a single day.

The great nation of the United States of America, a nation founded and built on God, has since turned its back on God. The people have allowed the government to remove Him from our schools, our jobs and are trying to remove Him from our churches. Many have chosen to remove Him even from their homes. Why is this happening to us they ask as they helplessly watch the nation's wickedness increase? How much longer will God allow us to continue in our sinful ways? Will He destroy us as He did Sodom?

God said that if His angels can find 5,000 righteous in our nation that He will spare us. When His angels walk our nation will they find even one righteous? Will there be enough righteous found to spare our great nation?

J.T. Patten (jtpattenbooks) | 4 comments Safe Havens: Shadow Masters

Hello. I am looking to add some more reviews and will provide .mobi or .epub to an individual who may have time to read and review my thriller in the next couple of weeks.

The story is a dark thriller that involves military and espionage aspects with a bit of a pulp flare to it. The conflict is based on a black ops warrior who is struggling to balance his dark operational work with his family life. As you can imagine, the two worlds converge and mayhem ensues.

The book, as I described, is dark, violent, and has some situational profanity (which has a lot of situations). And then of course there is the family aspect and an insider look to the conflicted minds of damaged soldiers wrestling with internal demons of war.

Readers have described my style as a non-linear story line writer akin to aspects of Flynn, Clancy, and Ludlum.

If you like the idea of reading and reviewing such a novel, please reach out to me via Goodreads or email (jtpatten@safe-havens.com) and I will email a copy out to you.

Thank you for your consideration.

Alice Poon (alice_poon) | 165 comments Thanks to Vincent for starting this great thread!

Hello Everyone,

I would love to have someone review my debut historical novel "Fated and Fateless" - I could provide a free PDF copy in exchange.

Fated and Fateless by Alice Poon

Here's a synopsis of the novel:

"This is a story of love, corruption and wanton lust for money set in colonial Hong Kong spanning four decades from the 1950s.
Prior to October 1987, Wendy has her fill of bad luck until she meets Tony and becomes his protégé. Despite her ascending career, her romance with Edward, Diana’s kid brother, suffers constant sabotage by Diana, who is also her archrival. Meanwhile, Diana breezes through life and covets the throne of her father’s property empire, but her heiress dream proves elusive. The love of her life turns out to be her cruelest lesson in life.
In October 1987 Wendy and Diana finally come to a face-off, which ultimately leads to a shocking epiphany for both characters."

Here's a blurb:-

"Don't be fooled by the girly cover. Set in the 1950s-80s era, it's a tale of good versus evil, in which the rags-to-riches heroine works her way up into a position where she might be able to turn one of Hong Kong's notoriously greedy, cheating real-estate empires into a force for social good, only to come up against a property tycoon's spoilt daughter, who apparently comes to some sort of sticky end - hopefully, vividly portrayed and extremely unpleasant. It's sort of Land and the Ruling Class: the Movie."

The novel is a new release and is available in both Kindle and Paperback formats from Amazon:-

http://www.amazon.com/Fated-Fateless-...

Kindly send me a message at Goodreads if you are interested.

Thank you in advance,

Alice

Here's the blurb: After an abruptly ended engagement, Graciela Ramirez is dying of a broken heart AND has to attend her friend’s wedding as the only member of her old group who’s still a virgin. On a quest to reinvent herself as bolder, braver and sexier, she tries crazy new things and intends to have a one night stand. Catapulted into the dating game once more, Graci never expects that Neal, the hot musician she literally runs into at a bar, might be her second chance at love. He’s supposed to be her transition guy, but love doesn’t arrive on a schedule and that annoying virginity may not be as easy to lose as she’d hoped.

Ninteen-year-old Terry Howard is an asshole, but he's also a survivor. The war that wiped out the majority of the Alliance of Six, the Six Magical Orders that enforced the metaphysical laws of the planet, is over, but their job still has to be done. As an Acolyte of the Order of Midnight, Terry is supposed to be guarding the veil between our world and The Outside.

Instead, Terry has been living in a basement apartment with a few friends and trying to figure out how to be a part of human society again. He isn't good at it.

When his ex-girlfriend gets him to investigate an apparent supernatural suicide and his old mentor shows up to pass off the last of his responsibilities, Terry is forced to face the few things he was truly hiding from.

His duties, his past, and most importantly, himself.

Thanks in advance.

Leo Robertson (leoxrobertson) Hi all,

My sci-fi/fantasy novel, 'Findesferas', is available for free in the following formats:

FREE EPUB
FREE MOBI
FREE PDF

"During an oil crisis-induced war in South America, Findesferas tells the story of Juan and his twin brother Matias as they fight to stay alive in the hopes of returning to their home, and normality. Juan is a poet, but since the death of his wife, he can’t seem to recapture the same creativity he used to pour into his work. Carrying a dark secret that threatens to ruin his life, can he forgive himself and make it out alive, or will his inability to escape the past destroy him? Matías' wife Octavia is in a civilian holding in Paraguay’s capital, Asunción, trying to forge a new life with her son. When the Pombero, a malevolent spirit, comes to visit them, her brief period of calm is brought abruptly to an end, and she must make a difficult decision: offer the Pombero a live sacrifice, or let him take the twins instead. Findesferas considers the lengths we will go to in order to protect our loved ones, find new energy sources or change the past."

Cheers and I hope you enjoy it!

Leo
