My understanding is that it's all a matter of which publisher holds the rights to the book in any given country, and whether or not they decide to release it, so it could show up tomorrow, or it may never show up. It's so frustrating to me, and it almost never affects me - I'd be ripping my hair out if I had to deal with it on a daily basis!

Daffodil:I finished another book from my list:
It was a quick, funny read. I enjoyed reading it very much, and I'm really, really curious about Reyes.
Thanks for the rec.
Finished my second book this month, Darkfever. I gave it 2.5 stars. I really didn't get into this one.
just finished picks 2 & 3 for the month: Lover Enshrined - I have a love/hate relationship with BDB. JR Ward's abuse of the letter H is shameful. This one just had too much going on. The romance was non-existent. gave it three stars due the continuation of the other stories, John Matthew, Rehv, and Qhuay (sigh)
In Bed with a Highlander - fun book, reminded me a lot of Julie Garwood's Scottish books.

Yes, Rainbow Mac is super annoying in the beginning but it only gives her more room to grow into one super-kickass heroine ;) Not to mention Barrons. *sigh*

Alright, maybe I won't give up on this series yet. Mac was really whiny throughout most of the book, but she did seem to get better toward the end.
Hi Breann, I just finished my second pick - The Locker Room by Amy Lane! Oh my goodness, thank you so so much for picking it! I loved it! It grabbed me right from the start and I was just couldn't help but to keep read when I should have been doing other things. This book wasn't even on my radar and this is a new author for me, it won't be the last book I read by her though, that it was a sports book was just the cherry on top! Thank you again!!

I love Barrons too. Yeah Mac (Rainbow girl) gets better towards the end of the series.

Yz the Whz Just finished your second pick
and I absolutely loved it. I gave it 4.5 stars. What an amazing story - I'm not sure I'm happy though about having to add another series to my never ending humongous pile. You are two for two this month!! Thanks so much for some great picks!!
Breann wrote: "Yay! I'm glad you liked it. I thought it was such a sweet, sweet story. I still haven't read more Amy Lane, but I plan to as well. "I even began to like the cover too! =P
I finished my pick, Terry Pratchett's third discworld book, Equal Rites. I was super excited to read it, but didn't get into it as much as the first two.
I FINALLY got my pick, Masked by Moonlight, from the library and quickly devoured it in two days. It was so good! Thanks so much, Carrie, for recommending it! I've another series to add to my tbr :)

I love that book. I have a major crush on Sully. If you have the chance, pick up the next book. It's slightly darker and more intense, but it's very good. It's a little heart-breaking, but Sully and Chaz made it through.
I finished my second PIFM for this month: Secondhand Spirits by Juliet Blackwell. I wasn't sure I was going to like it at the beginning, but the more I read, the better it got, and by the end, I couldn't put it down.
Ashley wrote: "Nancy,Just read Tangled up in Love. It was good but a little bit too cheesy for me. I give it 3 stars. Sorry I dont have work today. Which explains all the book reads.

That's okay, Ashley. We certainly don't have to like everything we read! I just finished one that I almost put down at the beginning, but then it got better, so I know how you feel! I hadn't read that one, but saw it on your TBR list and thought it looked interesting, which is why I recommended it.
MountainKat wrote: "I even began to like the cover too! =P"hehe... That cover (and title) makes the book seem like it's going to be a cheesy, erotic book. But it's not. It has it's cheesy and erotic moments but it's really just a great love story. It makes me wonder how many people in the sports world have to live like that. It's heartbreaking.

Have you read Out in the Field? Similar storyline, also wonderful and in the same way heartbreaking. I loved it!
I just finished my fourth PIFM book,
. I did like it, but was a bit confused with a few things. I think some of it was over my head, lol! Will definitely continue with the series, though!

@Lacy Done with my 3rd PIFM
Loved The Secret , its an amazing book . It gets you hooked from the prologue itself . All the characters were wonderfully written.

He's like the perfect blend of tender and tough. I can't wait to read the next one, but you just scared me!! Thanks, again!
I've read 5 of the list Jane (PS) picked for me :)
2 of them weren't on my list and I enjoyed them a lot , both got 4 stars
MountainKat wrote: "I thought that trilogy got better with every book! "It really did. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the whole trilogy.
I finished Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning. I gave it 4 stars. I put this series off because Her other series really didn't live up to the hype. But I really did enjoy this one, and am glad I finally started it. I plan on continuing with it.
Thanks Ruth Ann!

I am glad you liked it!! Let me know if you read the others in the series.
I finished my 4th book- Fires of Winter I had a hard time getting through the first couple chapters but then I was hooked and couldn't put the book down.
Lexi, I just finished my third pick, A Stolen Life. It was hard to get through in places and I wouldn't go so far as to say I enjoyed it, but I'm glad I read (or actually listened to) it. What a testament to inner strength and resiliency after surviving such an unimaginable ordeal! Thanks for the recommendation, I'm hoping I can get through one more before the end of the month. :)

Hi Laura - Just letting you know that I will be starting The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie tomorrow. I've been trying to match my books in to the H&T Tournament, but without much luck... So I'm just saying 'stuff it' and getting on with the job :)

Hey KarenH You've been reading this month! I've been completely tied up in all the other junk in my life and haven't even thought about PIFM sadly. I doubt I'll get to read anything. :( But you've read three! I'm so happy you have enjoyed them. I agree... it's hard to enjoy A stolen life, but it's a true testament and it really makes you think! Hope you get to read one more!!

Nairabell,I'm only going to have time this month to read the one book, because this month ended up being hectic. I'm going to try to read a few more of them in November.
Thanks again!
Hi Jodi,I finished my sport themed book for the month
. I really like this series and this third book didn't disappoint. It was steamy and fun! The main character did get on my nerves a little but it was a great story all the way through. Thanks for the recommendation.

Ah! I haven't looked on here all month! I completed the challenge by reading Dark Lover..and I had every intention of starting another pick. I ended up just reading the next 4 books in the same series! Oh well!
I just finished my October PIFM book:
. It's been on my TBR list for forever! Thanks, Ab2y, for the push to finally pick it up. I really, really enjoyed it!
