Trina (trina88) I haven't really seen any graphic novels around, I don't think the stores in my town sell them at all.

Robert Davis (robert_davis) I just finished reading Batman, Vol. 1: The Court of Owls Batman, Vol. 1 The Court of Owls by Scott Snyder (5 star review)...
and am just finishing Batwoman, Vol. 1: Hydrology Batwoman, Vol. 1 Hydrology by J.H. Williams III (4 or 5 stars as well)

Then I am going to start on Batman: Hong Kong Batman Hong Kong by Doug Moench . The funny thing is, I never was big into graphic novels before, but recently I have found an appreciation for them.

Deb (varmint) | 66 comments I have never read a graphic novel and must admit that they dont really appeal to me, however, I noticed that Zoey and Suzanne are reading
The Exile An Outlander Graphic Novel by Diana Gabaldon . I love Diana Gabaldons books so I thought I would give it a try. I have just placed it on reserve at the library

Hope you enjoy it Deb. From comments I have seen on GR & on her Facebook page, Diana Gabaldon fans either love it or hate it. So will be interesting to see what you think. It was the first Graphic novel I had ever read & I really enjoyed it.

message 81: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments I haven't done many challenges lately; and Ive never really been into graphic novels. Until now. Whoop.
I'll be probably be reading The Sandman, Vol. 2: The Doll's House, since I loved the first installment, and have now got the second & third in my hands. Plus, my english teacher loves them and says he'll fail me if I dont finish the whole series by the end of the year (because he wants to talk about them with me, and they're his favorites), so yeah.
If not this one, I might doThe Walking Dead, Vol. 3: Safety Behind Bars. Ideally i'd read it at the end of the third season, in February, but I dont know if im strong enough.
k Ill stop typing now.

I loved Finnikin of the Rock! There are two more that follow, I think the third is released, but the next one definitely is!
The first thing that came to mind thinking about similar books was Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, but it's not really the same. The next thing I thought of was a trilogy by Garth Nix Sabriel, Lirael: Daughter of the Clayr and Abhorsen. They're not the same either, but I loved them in almost the same way!
I hope you're able to find something to love as much!

Maggie Am half way through I Came To Say Goodbye which appears on just about everybody's list so I figured it fitted the criteria for this challenge. I haven't read anything by Caroline Overington before and I'm pleased at how much I'm enjoying this book. Have just reserved Matilda Is Missing and hope to pick it up in the next few days.
