I've read Celtic Blood from Brenda's list and The Book of the Forsaken on Celeste's list (also received from author for honest review).

Thanks, since I started writing reviews it has been getting easier to a) remember what the book is about and b) know what my thoughts and feelings about the book are (this is great for school).

That certainly would help you for school. Helps all round:)

message 105: by Kadi (new)

Kadi (kads) | 99 comments I read my book. It wasn't what I was expecting but kept me entertained enough. I ended up giving it 3 stars as it was ok but certainly didn't love it.

That's the one. For some reason my phone doesn't allow me to link anything. Let alone spell anything with auto correct. I should just stick to the computer

★ Jess | 3071 comments Yay I actually completed this challenge, for once.

I fell in love with the first two episodes from the new season of The Walking Dead, and gave into my urge to read where I was up to in the graphic novel saga the show was adapted from: The Walking Dead, Vol. 3: Safety Behind Bars
Luckily, pretty much all this issue has already been covered in the show/will be cut because it wont fit in the show, so Im spoiler free.

Its a great volume, but the show is still better in my opinion. Three & a half stars, very solid.

MarciaB - Book Muster Down Under | 225 comments Okeedokee, so I'm going to read Dead Heat by Bronwyn Parry - thanks Brenda, it's from your "Read" shelf - been wanting to read it for a long while now, so I guess now is as good a time as any - hopefully Crows Nest Library will get it to me ASAP :)

Great choice Marcia!!! Bronwyn is a great author, and this one was the first of hers I'd read. I have her first 2 here to read, and she's currently writing her 4th!!

Can't wait to read it Brenda - I haven't read any of hers yet, but as you know, romantic suspense is my favourite genre!

message 120: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 1176 comments Couldn't get the graphic novel I wanted, so I went with a book lent by a friend, Joanne, not on GR.

The Time Of My Life by Patrick Swayze 26/10/12 4 stars

I'm sure we've all seen some of Patrick's movies, but I had no idea he'd started out as a gymnast/ballet dancer/singer/musician, and all at a high level, before we saw him in the movies.

I was very surprised at his low level of self esteem, which slid into depression and drinking at some stages of his life. Luckily for him his wife was not only gorgeous and talented, but also loved him throughout their 34 years of marriage.

We are all definitely a product of our families and upbringing, whether for good or not so good, and that is demonstrated throughout this book. Patrick credits his parents for much of his success, both on and off screen, as well as Lisa, for keeping him balanced.

A very touching personal look at a life well lived.

Thanks Michael and that was the problem, I wasn't enjoying what I read. If only there were more hours in the day so I could read more.

message 132: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Read the first half of The Walking Dead, Vol. 4: The Heart's Desire, but it got a bit spoilerly for the show, so I skimmed the rest. Doesn't count as officially read, since I skimmed some important dialogue I'd rather hear on the show.
But it still almost kind of counts.

The Walking Dead, Vol. 4 The Heart's Desire by Robert Kirkman
