I think Lauren invited me to this group because of my terribly random booklist. I'll pretty much read anything, but I sort of consider that my job since I work in a library.
It's nice to meet you all. And thanks to Lauren for the invite :)

oooooo that does look creepy!!!! I'll put it on my to read list!

Hehehe, welcome! Random is good, its even in the title! :)

Yay!! And I am sure I will discover many new books from this group. : D

Awesome!! Creepy is exactly what I was going for lol. ; D

This is the 2nd group I've joined.

Welcome! I could never make it through the Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe. Maybe I should give it another try though, everything I hear about it is good and I did like the movie.

Cheers! Happy Reading
Julie

Hi, I'm Becca :) I'm 22 and from the UK. I enjoy reading lots of different genres of books but atm, my favourites are YA, romance and fantasy. I am a third year marketing student, so my reading time is limited right now due to assignments, essays, projects, exams etc :(

Aa'Ishah wrote: "Hi Becaa, I'm from the UK too! I'm in my second year of A levels, so I'm totally getting you on the limited reading time. Good luck with everything!"
Thanks! Good luck to you too with your A levels :) Having so much coursework stuff sucks :(

Hi Jennifer,
I just finished 50 Shades of Grey, and I found that I really liked it. I'm about to start Darker. So excited!!! :) Glad to find someone else who liked it, especially with all the neg. reviews out there :p

My grievance with 50 Shades is mostly structure and tone. Content wise... well, I read Laurel K Hamilton so I'm used to random pointless sex scenes. I did love the email banter -that is what saved the book from being thrown. And I do love my men damaged.
My favorite out of the whole series is the little Christmas story at the end of the last book.

At present, between my own indie reviews, I host some VBT for 5 or 6 different tour companies, and have just started with Book & Trailer Showcase as their Director of Reviews for their eMagazine. Let's see - I'm a beta reader / prelim editor, and have 5 or 6 projects going at last count with that.
I read everything BUT horror, and inspirational tends to leave me flat. I'm always looking for recommendations for books for little kids - boys and girls - 10 and under - since I have friends with children that age - and I like to share titles.
As a side note: If anyone is interested in a reviewing opportunity - please contact me. We are looking to grow the Team for the BTS eMag - and I'm always willing to "interview" new candidates.

I am from Detroit but moved to Oklahoma City six months ago. I moved because there were no jobs back home and I got a job with ATT.
I have been doing reviews for about 10 years (?) and stopped a couple years ago because of stuff going on in my personal life.
I just recently started reviewing again and created my own review/excerpt blog and also moderate author chats at Writerspace.
I read everything but inspirationals, not a fan of historicals but will read one by a favorite author.
I recently joined Gaele's emagazine.

Wow, everyone seems to have such busy lives! I just joined Gaele's emagazine too, I'm really looking forwards to it!

GAH -- it's not mine -- the section is Gillian and Mine to run - but all credit goes to Book & Trailer showcase.... and Nikki McCarver who sent out the invite I saw to apply for the position!!

Hehehe, sorry. I'll retract my statement.

....>.> ...... *cancels Hunger Games Parade* ;p
Nice to meet you

lol ooop...

Although it is true that I have no preferred genre or series, my reading habits are not without a trend. I recently realised that most of the books that I have read are made by male authors with male protagonists with guy stuff themes. As of this post, I only read three books that are made by female authors. Sorry girls.
This trend brings me to the third reason why I must join this group, is so that I will have a motivation to read everything indiscriminately.
It is a nice to meet you (by that I meant I actually read all of the introduction posts) all.

I love that this group is not focused on one book or one genre.

Congrats!!!! Your book looks great!

My name's Amelia Chai, or just call me Chai for short.
I'm an English Literature graduate, now working as a translator for a local finance/business newspaper.
I enjoy reading books written in English more so than those written in Indonesian - where I'm from. But unfortunately, English-written books are priced quite high here, so I cant really purchase as many as them or as often as I would have wanted.
