message 23: by JuliAnna (last edited Feb 13, 2009 06:11AM) (new)

JuliAnna I read it a few months ago. It looks like I am in the minority, because while I liked it, I wasn't blown away by it. I do wish the next in series was out, though. I will definitely keep reading them.

Jane (jane_jones) I read this as well - For this group btw --- thanks for brining it to my attention. I ialso was not "blown away" but we'll save that discussion for next month

Fox (foxmists) | 218 comments Kevin wrote: "Read it, LOVED it! Isn't the sequel due out this month? Maybe next?"

I direct your attention to the thread that addresses that very issue. There are links to Pat's blog. Sorry to disappoint you. It will be a while. Check this section for that thread about Wise Man's Fear.

message 37: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Read it last year and am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.

message 38: by Laini (new)

Laini Read it a few months ago and loved it -- can't wait for Wise Man's Fear, but I will wait, and without complaining :-)

message 39: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I just finished this last night, I LOVED the book. One of my favorites (if not THE favorite). Can't wait for the sequel :)

I really liked the way he ended things though, I'm not just dying to continue or anything, just ready to continue the journey.

message 40: by Robin (last edited May 26, 2009 12:07PM) (new)

Robin (robinsullivan) | 629 comments So glad you liked it Allison...but for me I didn't have your same love for the ending. I loved the book - but ending it where it did - hit a sour note for me. I really like books that "wrap up" between episodes.

message 41: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah Robin, I get that. I guess since I read you guys talking about it I was expecting to be left hanging...if I hadn't had warning I might have been more upset about it.

message 42: by Robin (new)

Robin (robinsullivan) | 629 comments Aye - certainly KNOWING you will be hanging will help quite a bit - I found out 1/2 way through and it did help to soften the blow
