I have just published, independently,Imagining Violet my first work of historical fiction. I am Mary E. Hughes. I have had a successful book launch on the island where I live, but somehow I have to cast a wider net. I won an Entrada Review, which was amazingly supportive and suggests 'Violet' is a YA book. I think it's also a "Book Club' book, and my older readers like it a lot. I'm hoping to connect with anyone who would like a pdf version to review. I've taken research to new heights. Writing about my MC who was studying violin in 1891 in Leipzig, I realized I had to do more than read about it, so at the age of 70 I started taking violin lessons. Then a couple of years later, I acquired the actual violin my MC had played. I now play with an amateur string ensemble on the west coast island where I live ... in the floathouse we brought ashore in 2002, but that's another story, and another book, The Life and Times of the Floathouse Zastrozzi...
