Dark Fantasy
Read ~ 11/4/12
Rating~ ★★★★★
Wow. This book threw me. I did not expect what I got. I just figured at first that wouldn't play out as it hinted. I figured it would be a happy go lucky time blah blah blah, but man was this really dark. Only one person had this marked as a dark fantasy & that surprised me.
Kristen Ashley is now my absolute favorite author hands down! Every series has the same great written quality as the next, even when topics go from light to dark to whimsical. Holy crap! She can write a dark fantasy for sure!
An alternate world is out there. There is a body double for everyone! Same families etc. Just living in a different plain with a different time/era customs & definitely different world altogether.
This is Circe who went to bed one night & woke up in a pen full of women about to run from warriors whose custom it is to capture & mate with a woman claiming her as his. She catches the eye of the king & she runs for her life knowing this is about to get ugly & in the end she will be raped. The worst part is that she doesn't even know the language of these primative people & now she's stuck with them. She has to learn to accept the culture. Easier said than done.
Ok, so one time I even cried... when she got slapped. I was so disappointed, because I thought at this point everything was going great. Wow. I just felt her feeling & I wanted to kick the shit out of the guy myself. Anyway, I cannot wait to read the rest & I jumped right in and stayed up all night reading this book!

In this book Harry gets in to vampire power play and theres someone or something that kills woman who have power and makes it look like suicide. This book is little bit funny, scary and lots of fire throwing going on :) in other words it was a great read :D

Sorry I have gotten a little behind with my reading. I have had visitors, and then sickness in my household all while I am trying to study for the CPA Exam. I am planning on finishing my demon book in the next day or too. A couple of my other challenges finished too so I should be able to stay on track now.

But you read Passion Unleashed for a different shelf.
I am behind on my Dark Fantasy book. I had a bonanza of library Kindle books become available not a single one of which was on the D-F shelf.

I should have my review up for ecstasy later this week heading to Dallas today to visit family so my time isn't my own

Rating 3 stars.
I love the premise of the book and it was such a unique storyline. But I thought it fell flat but that could be because off all the world building. The relationship between Trace and Ashla was a little rushed. I mean really he hasn't let a woman touch him in 12 years and he just falls into bed with Ashla. Will put the 2nd book on the Tbr to see if the series get any better

Review;
This is the story of Lore. Lore is a new character that got introduced breifly at the end of the last book so the author had to take some time to tell his story. I guess the author wanted to continue the series but ran out of main characters so they had to come up with new ones. I am glad they did though because this series gets better with each book! Looking forward for the next one!

Good Job!! :D

I like the series, but i had sometimes hard time following the style of writing. Thats why i give four stars out of five. Also the ending came too fast. One moment Alexia is a prisoner and next thing you know she is escaping too easily. But i'm looking forward for the next book :)

I knew i wouldn't like it before I read it, because I read Time & Untime & The Guardian first. Those books explained a lot of the basics of this book after the fact. The one thing I absolutely cannot stand is the 1800's cowboy talk. I have no idea why. Maybe it's my mom who had to watch all the western oldies (even back then) when I was a kid. AND her fantasy of being a cowgirl & marriying the kid on the Rifleman series... Johnny something.
Any whooo.... This takes place in Las Vegas & a stupid human girl who is going around killing dark hunters with apollites accidentally (on her part) kills one of the guardiens of the end of the world time pantheons aztec things (next books blurring with this one)... This sets off a bunch of evil plagues... scorpions, wasps & another creature... whomust kill her before it can all be rectified by her being sacraficed in the other realm for what she caused. Meanwhile Jess decides he likes her & her family line is from the person who killed him in the first place.
A lot of things are going on, too much would give it away. The girl was lied to about the DH's & what they do, but that was resolved in 1 chapter... You do meet the guys yet to come in the next books.
These books are getting lightr & lighter with the romance & I'm thinking like every other author out there, that their kids are getting old enough to get it, so it's not as descriptive or as much as before. I don't know for sure, but that's my guess!

I was disappointed then I started this and it was in first person. I really prefer 3rd person. I like to get in the heads of all the main characters. But I took a peak at the upcoming books and see that it goes to third person in book 3 of the series. Which makes me wonder why she didn't just do the series 3rd person to begin with but whatever. It's not my favorite Linnea Sinclair book. But I did like it and will definately read the rest of the series. But so far I like her stand alones better.

Good Job Raptorous Readers!"

This is the story of Wraith. The Demon/Vampire who has an abused passed and is shelfish. He gets into a sticky situation and gets a disease that will kill him in a few weeks. He needs to steal the charm from Serena in order to live. If she gives it up she will die.
This story was great. I think I like it the best out of the series so far. This series gets better with each book. I love the relationship between Wraith and Serena.
