Vivian (_vivian) | 1934 comments Judithe, sorry you've been having a rough time. Glad to hear things are looking up now.

Yay for more stamps! Jen, you are so on top of things :)

I loved DoSaB from pretty much page 1. My library doesn't have the sequel yet, and I'm probably going to cave and buy it soon.

Favorite Series

Review: I think I like this series more than Mercedes Thompson, this series is awesome! I love the details about Anna and Charles' relationship, it's so different from her other series. Book three is on it's way and I'll be reading it ASAP.

LOL if only I could say the same for real life stuff. (sigh)

Yay team I just put in for our Favorite Series Stamp. We have alot of 3 in a rows but so far no 4 in a row. Maybe luck of the draw will be kind to us this week! :)

Vivian (_vivian) | 1934 comments I'm holding off on my pick for the shifters shelf. I'm #1 on the waiting list for Gunmetal Magic, so hoping it comes in over the next couple days. If not, I'll pick something else (assuming the game hasn't ended by then).

FlibBityFLooB | 173 comments I have been dying to read the latest Alpha & Omega book, but I really need to re-read the first 3 stories before I continue since it's been forever!

So, this week's shelf (shifters) is a perfect excuse to re-read my hardcover for Alpha and Omega to kick the series back off.

Alpha and Omega (Alpha & Omega, Prequel) by Patricia Briggs

Judithe | 6566 comments I'm reading Tangle of Need (Psy-Changeling, #11) by Nalini Singh ....finally, finally it arrived!

message 361: by Belinda (new)

Belinda | 801 comments Don't shoot me judithe but I've never read the psy-changling series....is it worth a read?

message 362: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments I ABSOLUTELY love it! I know it's not for everyone (no book is), but this is a series that I enjoy reading again and again. It was one of the first that pulled me back into the paranormal genre (I'd loved vamps in my college years...but reading got pushed aside due to difficulties in getting English books, and the busy-ness of raising small children while struggling for fluencycomprehension in another language).

I like Ms. Singh's flow, I love the characters, and the world is intriguing (I've actually read and enjoyed all of her books!) I also think the books are getting even better as the series progresses. I was worried this one would be a let down after FINALLY getting Hawke's story in Kiss of Snow, but I shouldn't have. Close to 200 pages in and loving it. Torn between devouring the rest of it tonight, and savoring it...luckily (or not!) the need to plan tomorrow morning's lessons have forced me to put it down...

Now, better get those done, so I can slip back into one of my favorite worlds!

Vivian (_vivian) | 1934 comments Belinda, for what it's worth, I am not a pnr fan at all, and still really liked the first book. There was a good storyline and it's set in an interesting world. Singh's writing does get a little flowery, but it's well-written. I do want to read more at some point.

message 364: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 1024 comments I'm going to read Magic Bleeds (Kate Daniels, #4) by Ilona Andrews for the shifter shelf!

message 365: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 1024 comments Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Shelf:
2012
Date Finished: 11/20/2012
Ratings: **
Review: I'm not sure where this book fell short with me. The story was an interesting idea, the world was neat, but the execution of it all just fell really flat and I couldn't get into it. I may try to read the next one and give this author another chance. It's her first book so maybe 2nd time's the charm?

Hope all you celebrating have a happy, safe Thanksgiving weekend!

message 369: by JenniferJ (new)

JenniferJ I will try to get us caught back up later today ya'll. I wish all of you a safe and blessed Thanksgiving with your loved ones!

message 370: by Belinda (new)

Belinda | 801 comments Happy thanksgiving everyone!

Here's a little present for you all - my review of this week's book.

Beneath a darkening moon by keri arthur
Finished: 22/11/12
Shelf: shifters
Stars: 3

Review:
Didn't enjoy this one as much as the first. There is still the mystery to solve and the budding romance between the main characters. It also sees further insight in the telepathy of the sisters. It was a nice easy read though.

If we end up finishing this week: thanks so much everyone for being part of our team. I really enjoyed reading with you ladies!!! :D

message 371: by JenniferJ (new)

JenniferJ Ladies I have us updated but I fear this will be our last week because I think Team 10 is about to put in for the win. It has been alot of fun playing with you guys though and maybe we will get to play again on a future team! :)
