question
am I the only one who didn't like or ( connect ) with this book ??

something is off in that book , why Luce is not the storyteller in this book ?? I didn't get it
i think this book need to be rewritten , there's a good story but I couldn't relate to it and when the girl died ..... I didn't care and I loved the bad guy cam.
so I don't hate but i thought Bella in twilight was lame but Luce is 100 times Lame and silly also stupid and spineless hated her really did so what do u think ??

I hate when I start something I can't finish, but I also hate putting myself through any kind of torture. I'm not trying to bash the book, but it wasn't very enthralling. I wish it had more of a backbone because the story had potential. I'm pretty sure the main reason I didn't like it was because Luce creeped me out a little. She STALKED Daniel! I didn't understand why either of those boys were interested in her. She had that juvenile mentality that just gets under my skin.
Also, what happened to Arianne's and Luce's friendship from the beginning of the book? It just disappeared and she became friends with Penn instead (I liked Penn, but still).
It also lacked any intensity or passion when it came to her and Daniel. She was like "that's the guy I like for no real reason at all except he's really hot and totally doesn't care I exist. What a turn on!" Juvenile. She had more chemistry with Cam.. whom turns out to be the bad guy.. whom I happen to like the most for that very reason. Not how the reader is supposed to react to the bad guy. Lol
I think I just got carried away with my complaints. My bad :)

It was only a 2-star read for me. After finishing Fallen I had no desire to read the rest of the series. I think it was largely the unlovely setting and the supporting characters.
I read the first and second book, but when i was reading the third book, I had to stop! It was so terrible!! I hate in the second one when Daniel says: "stay on the school grounds so that the people who are trying to kill you can't find you." and Luce responds with: " You can't tell me what to do! I'll leave the school grounds if I want to!" Bloody stupid girl! I tried so hard to get into these books, but I jusrt couldn't do it.

Its an ok book but its just not good enough. aaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!! i change my mind. I HATE THIS BOOK !!!!!!!!!!!!
This book was so confusing, and clichèd, and bad. There is really nothing more to add to it. I didn't sympathize at all with Luce's character and even today, three books from Fallen, I don't understand what really is on between Daniel and Luce. I get that they love each other. But why, exactly, is that?
I read the first one, but like many others, I just didn't really feel a connections. I bought the second and the third book but I haven't cracked them once. They're just collecting dust. The first one was okay, but it could have been so much better.
The best thing about this book is the cover. :P I liked the concept of this book and thought it was interesting. But it was just...not good. I'll give Lauren Kate the points for being able to write a decent setting. There were scenes that I could visually imagine and felt totally creeped out by those shadows.
But Luce is just so dull and boring and irritating. The climax and end was so odd to me. When I finished the book I felt so confused, because it was like I just read a bunch of pages of nothing. I kept waiting for it to get better. It just didn't.

I couldn't connect to it either.. Luce is the weakest, whiniest, and most annoying heroine ever created... I've read the first three, out of hope that it would get better and questions would be answered, but the story just tends to get more muddled and I keep asking myself why Daniel doesn't just wipe his hands clean of Luce's selfish shenanigans...
Nah, you ain't the only one. I felt like the main character was weak and the story just wasn't original.
No you are not the only one. This book...shame, I am just so disappointed. The storyline, amazing, just fell flat with Lauren's execution. Really it's a shame; I wasn't even that interested in the last book. *bleh*
No you are not the only who didn't connect. I enjoyed it but I like books that are "R" rated. It was a nice love story, but I don't think that I will read it again. It is for younger readers.
I finished the first one but not interested in the rest. Too cliched.
i kept reading hoping for some dramatic end or twist in the book, but honestly Luce just seemed very clingy and desperate. I hate when the main character isn't up to par, and in this book i don't feel she was. I won't be reading the next one.
I read the first one and thought it was ok, but the second one was awful and I don't even remember what happened in most of the third - it was so boring. I didn't even bother with the fourth one, they became so cliched and the characters seriously irritated me.
I love the first book, the second was trash and i didn't read the rest of the books in the series. I really liked Cam though.
I read the whole thing and I enjoyed it. However, I didn't really connect with any aspect of it so won't be reading the rest of the series. Can't quite put my finger on it, but there was something missing.
this book was OK. Firstly Lucy is clingy, dependent and boneless. Daniel is plain, dictating, possessive, dominating and clingy. Secondly author has kept readers in the dark till book 3 and honestly i doubt if she has answered those unanswered questions even in 4 installment. that makes it incomplete and incoherent. Thirdly its cliched. fourthly side characters are livelier than main characters. lastly, no great plot at all (would have boldly called this series devoid of story but in the face of few other worse off series, i m generous and kind enough to not totally thrash it :P).
You're not the only one. I only read the first book and it was a struggle to finish it. I see a potential gem in the plot but it didn't really work out in the book.

i couldn't even finish reading the first book. i tried so hard because i hate not finishing books. luce is just so... stupid. yeah. even worse than bella. i managed to force myself to read all the twilight books. this book is torture!
If you didn't like book 1, then stop now...
I have only read the first 3 books, but they only go down hill...
I can't stand Luce, so hopeless and dependent on everyone around her...

I really couldn't stand luce by the time I got through the second book..It was a great story line and love the book cover but jeez talk about not connecting I dint understand luce's perspective and I found her so whiny...And the last book was such a let down I stuck to the series hoping against all odds that it would get better..but alas! it wasnt meant to be..:D
the first book was the only book in the series that i could get all the way through. i didn't love it.
I read the first two of this series...don't ask me why I picked up the second one. I have noone but myself to blame. I think there is a huge amount of potential for this story...it just doesn't live up to it. I really don't see myself reading the rest of this series and that's unusual for me. I love series books and pretty much always stick with them.

I found the first book entertaining, but the second, I literally could of fallen asleep with how bored I was with it.
I read the first book in high school... loved it then. I then re-read the book now so I could remember what happened... but found I didn't like it as much anymore. The only reason why I re-read it was so I could get into the second book.
I think you are right when you say something isn't right. There is no connection, the first book did not leave me wanting to read the second. I tried, but just couldn't read the second book. I guess I wasn't excited enough.

I read the first book. I dont know how I got through it. I loved the premise hated how it was written. Never even thougjt about going back for the 2nd.
I only read half of the first book. I hate not finishing something, but could not connect to the characters or story at all. I'm glad i'm not the only one. Big sigh of relief.
I don't even know why I finished it. Was expecting something so much better.
I really tried!!! I swear!!!! Im happy now that I borrowed the book from someone else... it would've been a waste of money, that book. i remember i started reading it and started skiping pages 'cause i thought it was boring and slow; so i tried.... but it was just so awful.... luce was stupid and naive and daniel was so shitty....
I bought the book and was really disappointed in it. A friend of mine really liked the books and has been reading them all, but I couldn't get past reading the first book.
I found the plot a little cliché after a while. In the first book I thought that there was some originality but as the series progressed I found that it became a typical "so-so" book.
Also Daniel and Luce as a couple bored me abit. I get that they were eternal lovers and all but I couldn't feel the passion as I read the books.

I have read the whole series, grudgingly, and found that Luce wasnt likeable until the last book where she really finally worked out who she is. I dont like how it took four books before I finally really got into the series and I think this series should be rewritten so that the reader is about to connect with and like Luce.
I read the first book...it would be a good story but for some reason I don't like the way it is written...i can't bring myself to read the second book when i can read so many others(that are actually good)
The only character I like was Cam, so no I didn't like this book and only read the FIrst one.
I read the whole series but I didnt felt the connection.I wasnt engaged to the series at all.
