Buddy Reads Basics

Here you can ask for a buddy or buddies to read with you. You can set the amount of time and how many chapters you are going to read in a daily/weekly or whatever you want basis.

All Buddy Reads should be asked after we do our polls and if the one you wanted isn't picked you can read it with someone else here.

The exception is if it's a TBR book which can be any genre and age group as long as it isn't inappropriate.

Please be considerate to your buddy and only agree if you know you can read the book.

Once you pick a book I will set up a topic for you if you can't under Buddy Reads.

So, it's been suggested (*cough* demanded - LoL) that I read Life of Pi. I'm going to read it in December. Any one want to buddy for it?

I'll read it with you. The movie looks awesome. Kind of reminds me of The Golden Compass. What time in December?

Great! It doesn't matter to me. We can do the first two weeks or something. Or even 1 week. I've heard it's a quick read.

Sounds good. I own it, so I'll check the number of chapters tonight.

Looks like it has about 99 chapters, but they're all really short. Some are only a few paragraphs. It's divided into two parts.

It is still 319 pages. If we are doing it in a week we can try reading half of part one one day and the other half the next. Then from then on around 50 pages till we finish? It'll be like 6 days then. What do you think?

I wanted to read for quiet some time now. Would you maybe like to read it together Adriana? It looks like I could get a copy from the library this month.

I don't mind, just tell me when it is good for you. I got it from the library now cause it was there for once ;) and I noticed that there where some lose pages. So I first borrowed it and then showed someone ;) Else I couldn't have borrowed it, so it got a note and goes to repair after I bring it back. I can keep it for 3 weeks (maybe 6) just think about it :)

Oh well at least they were semi attached so you don't miss anything. How about start on Sunday and... how many chapters are there? There are 41 chapters so how about 5 chapters per day?

I have some lose sheets now too but I cheeked it seams there all there still ;)
5 chapters per day is fine with me and starting on Sunday also. I will do my best to be able to post in the group every day, but I will spend most of the next days with my boyfriends mama cause she got a really nasty flu and can't get out of bed.
