I've been reading alot lately, at least for me. I can read a Harlequin romance in a day, but those are pretty short, near 200 pages. Regular romances of 400 pages take me usually 2 days. Depends on how much time I can devote to reading. So far this month I've read more than the last two months combined!

stupid nights...i've been too tired to hardly read recently...plus schoolwork kicking my butt! i'm finishing up my last paper now and then I have 2.5 weeks off (my prof gave me an extension because I had to go to dallas for a week for a grad school thing)...so i'm hoping to finish that up tonight...i'm at 8 pages of the 10-12 required...and totally bs'ing my way through it...then I can read and relax

I think the only reason I've read so much this month is that I am reading series book. I reread the entire Sookie Stackhouse series, and now starting the Cedar Cove series. I'm not as thrilled with this last series, but it's not bad. Usually I tend to take some time between books instead of putting one down and picking up the next, but you don't have to do that with series books.

It depends on the series. I couldn't read the Dresden Files too close together. With the series I'm reading now, Cedar Cove, there are tons of characters. Same characters are in several books, so not so much after awhile and new ones show up and it's got story arches that go through several books. So it's like reading one really big book instead of several small ones. It actually feels like I'm reading a soap opera, lol, and every book is like another episode. So I'm just working my way through.

This particular series of hers is so different. It's not a traditional romance. Parts of it I like and parts I really dislike. But since I like Macombers work I bought, one at a time or on PBS the entire series so feel compelled to read it since I own it. There are little bits of mystery worked in as story arches that carry over between books and those have me continuing reading it more than almost anything else.
