I don't gain weight over the holidays since I generally just have speghetti on the 25th, but I do need to lose everything I've managed to gain since moving to the south. K...Managed to finish before going to bed now that it's too late to dance like an idiot in my living room.

my problem is all the co-workers who are bringing in sweets - candy, brownies etc for christmas...not a day has gone by in the last week where someone hasn't brought it some type of homemade goodies!
I did end up with cookies the other day. The good thing is, I can't make cookies to save my life. Something happened when I got out of high school and I couldn't bake them anymore. It drives me crazy because I cold make them when I was 5. Now they don't rise up like they're suppose to. I'm good with brownies and other stuff though.

I've been baking cookies & making fudge while you gals were having your conversation about stuffing yourselves with cookies & candy - and of course I had to sample everything, so guilty of stuffing as well!Out-of-town company is due to arrive any moment, so I probably won't be back on this thread until after Christmas. Haven't been getting much reading done in any case - it took me 5 days to read my last book! We've been watching the Christmas classics - still have 2 to go.

So if I want to play (I've been trying to understand this challenge), I just start from where I was reading last and count pages, right? (For example, I picked up This Rake of Mine this afternoon at page #67, so I start there with my count, right?)
Yes Amanda. If you want to count a book you're in the middle of, then you start at the page where you were when the new challenge starts. To remind ourselves, many of us will list an "in progress" and the title and what page we started on when the new challenge starts.

Hope you got what you wanted for Christmas, I've been enjoying my gift, which was having all my kids home for the holidays -with their families. So my reading time has been almost non-existent, but I'll make up for that on New Year's Day.
