I seriously wanted to read the 28 page short story "Two Blondes", a Sookie Stackhouse short story in Death's Excellent Vacation, but it's a new release hardcover for $25.95 (then 20% off). I'm not about to pay that for just the one 28 page story I wanted to read.

Yeah, the Sookie short story is only 28 pages but the book has a dozen or so stories from various authors as it's an anthology. But seeing as I'd buy it only for the one story alone, I'll have to wait until it comes up on my PBS wishlist.I didn't realize the John Wayne book had a DVD in it until I was typing that above. It's a 176 page book that goes through his movies throughout various decades, looking at his movies, his leading ladies, half full of pictures. No idea how long the DVD is. It just says the author narrated the documentary after selecting scenes from Wayne's greatest films: The Alamo, Fort Apache, The Green Berets, The Horse Soldiers, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, The Quiet Man, Red River, Rio Bravo, Rio Grande, Sands of Iwo Jima, The Searchers, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, The Shootist, Stagecoach, True Grit.

ok, so I pulled off some good numbers (thanks to the bonus pages) so before I start another book, I ordered a few new ones. I know "splurge" time for me, the kids are back in school and I finished all of my August challenges..... so, I broke down and ordered some, should be here next week.- If you are interested, I ordered a bunch of YA books...
