Delicious Dee the book slut wrote: "Kite Runner is set in Afghanistan and supposed to be really good...it keeps showing up on my list of professional reading for the military (I guess i'll finally read it) and it was turned into a mo..."I read this, Dee, and it is good - not 5* for me, but a strong 4*. I actually liked A Thousand Splendid Suns a little more, but there's some rough reading in both - understandable when you consider the time and setting and what the people had to endure.
yeah...i'm debating doing the globe trotter challenge over on TNBBC group...and its reading a book set in all continents...so i might use that one...i'm on the look-out for books set in different countries...
