I read Blood Brothers for the FAC this month and it was really good, I had to go right out and get the other two so I could keep going with the trilogy

Even with double credit for my just over 500 page Stephen King book, once I finish it I can't pass Jane. lol

Have fun everyone. As my mum had major open heart surgery last year, this seemed a good way to celebrate the amazing scientific researchers and surgeons who are helping to save lives ! February just happens to be American Heart Month (I think it should be worldwide so here we go! !
Nifto challenge Jane. Right now I'm in a "whatever kind of book I pick up is what I'm reading" kind of mood. I just finished off Twenty Wishes and am also working on a historical book--nonfiction. Its about the American Exploratory Expedition 1838 to 1842. My Dad loved tall ships, and he was in the Navy, so I KNOW he'd have loved that one. Its a little hard to read, since they are quoting primary sources a lot, and some of those are a little hard to work through. Its going to be read in between others, since it is a bit much to smash through all on its own. I probably won't count it for any of the pages counts, but its definately interesting.Twenty Wishes by Debbie Macomber 377

wow Ann, you may be doing this one alone. I have not had the time to read too much that would count since the new challenge started.
I had about 150 pages, then reset to zero after buying a few books. Couldn't resist Louis l'Amour western audiobooks read by Willie Nelson. After buying, I read a 100 page book today. I didn't post it here though as there is no way I can catch up to Ann at this point.
Willie Nelson, wow I didn't know he did anything like that. I read a manuscript of a friends, it was 150 pages, but didn't figure it would count since it is not published - yet! Plus I figure I would have to reset tomorrow, I am heading to the last day of the 'Going out of Business' sale at the closest Borders. Hope to get some good deals,- in between my tears. haha
There are 2 full lenth Louis L'Amour novels, one starring Willie Nelson (approx 45 mins long) and one starring all of the Highwaymen (Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and Waylong Jennings) that is 65 mins long. Willie Nelson reads 4 other short stories (each about 30 mins long). It was only $14 for the 4 CD set of the 7 Louis L'Amour books and they come storied in a wooden box that opens in the middle. I don't normally listen to audiobooks but thought this was too good to pass up. I'll listen to them next time I take a road trip.

I got mine at the Friends of the (local) Library Friendshop (used bookstore) in the corner of the library. I can't wait to listen to the dramatized story with all the Highwaymen starring in it.
Well pooh--being the only one doing the challenge is no fun. :o) Maybe I should go visit a bookstore tomorrow. I really need to find Starship: Mercenary since my library doesn't have it. Sigh, books 1,2, and 4--but NOT book 3. I mean, does that make sense to any of you?

I arrived at that number because it was on Dec. 3 1967 that the very first heart transplant was performed in South Africa.
