H puts h a ring while kissing; she cannot take it off (romance book) [s]

This scene has been bugging me for a while. I read this probably 3 or 5 years ago. I only remember that while H and h were kissing in bed (totally clothed, I think they were discussing before, then, while they were kissing, they fell into the bed without noticing).

While they were kissing, H put a ring to h, which I think she rejected before. Then, when he left, she tried to take it off, but couldn't. So she had to keep the ring in her finger.

I do not remember if it was contemporary or historical, but it was definitely a romance. I thought it was a Anne Stuart's book (if contemporary) or Amanda Quick's/Lisa Kleypas (if historical).

Any thought?

I think they might be from book 4 of the same series, actually.
