ISBN13 numbers on two books

In the book, the ISBN13 is listed as: 9781465907318

What's with the weird numbers in the database here?

Numbers starting with 294 are BNID (Barnes & Noble Identification) numbers. They are similar to Amazon's ASIN.

Oh, I see - I sort of suspected as much. However, since the editions I'm referencing are Smashwords editions (see URL reference), shouldn't they have the ISBN13 as shown in the Smashwords editions themselves?

Smash words distributes to B&N. You can add new editions with the normal ISBNs

We need to keep the BNID, since Barnes & Noble can't find it searching on the ISBN. However, I can create new editions with the ISBN.

Okay, thanks for clarifying that. I had it in my head that's why the Nook Book edition had been created, so there was no more confusion over these things. Appreciate both of y'all's time!
