Found a copy of The Perfect Wife at the library, and am actually glad it is not part of a series. I have so many of them right now that a good stand alone sounds like a good choice. Hope to start it tomorrow.

Be interested to hear what you think of that one Debbie, I got it on a rec from a friend, but haven't had time to read it yet.
finished up Love Bites - have to admit, it was much better than the first one in the series that I really disliked...so i'll probably pick up another one in the future, but she'll be a library book read, not a to-buy...so that makes me a B I guess after
okay, i've finished A Quick Bite. i was kind of bored with it. I only started to get interested at the end, and by then, the book was practically over. I don't think I'll be checking out her books again, but I'll say I'm a B.
really? well, I might look at one of her other series, since i saw that some people like her historical books more. If i like that, I might give Love Bites a try. But i have a feeling that her writing contributed to my disinterest. The only character I really liked was Lucien... who was in only like, 2 scenes.
lucien and bastien are both in LB more...I just didn't like AQB...really, a vampire with a blood phobia...but more of the world is explained in BL...where they came from, how their bodies work...they are definately a different take on vampires
IMKissa: Personally, I don't think you need to read the Argeneau series in order. If you like Lucien, you could always just jump to his story IMHO... (whichever one that is...)I'm reading one of her recent historicals now - the only other LS historical I've read was quite old I think, so it'll be interesting to see how it compares.
i usually like reading books in order. It didn't even occur to me that Lucien would have a book. Hm, guess I'm gonna be reading Bite Me If You Can: An Argeneau Vampire Novel.Depending on how much I want to read it, I'll take a break between then and now though. Just in case it was Sands' writing I didn't really enjoy. I don't want to get bored before i start getting into the book.
I'm usually OCD about reading in order, but I think book 7 was hanging out in my local library so I read it - I had no trouble keeping up with events... At that stage I had only read book 1 and maybe book 2....
Hmmm - I rated that one 4 stars but the first three I rated 3 stars - just light reads... That is all that I have read from that series...***Edit***
LOL - just reread my review - I had only read the first book. Book 7 inspired me to go back and read book 2!!
ooh! okay. well. first few = light reads - check. will probably still look at the second book, if i don't like it, i'll just skip 3, 4, and 5.4 stars. pretty good.
The first book I read in the Argeneau series was Bite Me If You Can which I really enjoyed. I liked Lucien and Leigh, especially since Leigh wasn't TSTL. I'm about a third of the way through Tall, Dark, and Hungry, and I'm not too sure how I feel about it. I'm not feeling compelled to race through its pages. I have, however, developed a real dislike for Vincent. I know I won't be picking up his book. A whole book of wanting to run the "hero" headfirst into a wall isn't a good thing.
I was a B and now I'm an A. I read The Accidental Vampire. Its a fun series, and I liked the characters in the small town here. Will definitely be reading more.
I finished Devil of the Highlands today. Started off as a C and am now a B. I thought the beginning was hilarious and was looking forward to the rest of the story. Somehow the comedy turned into a murder mystery with a sprinkling of love scenes and talk of feelings. It was OK, but I felt like the story wasn't well connected and I knew "whodunit" almost immediately.
Just finished
& enjoyed it, looking forward to reading the rest of the series!I was a C & now I'm an A.
I finished Tall, Dark & Hungry today. It was enjoyable, a 3.5 stars for me. These books are nice, light and fluffy reads and as long as you aren't expecting Shakespeare all is good.I remain as I started, a high B (or maybe a low A). I like her books, but I don't rush out to read them.
RRRC FAC June 2011: Lynsay SandsI'm a big fan of Lynsay Sands, especially her Argeneau vampire series. I read Single White Vampire on 6/5/11. I was an A to start and remain an A.
I finished The Hellion and the Highlander and liked it but didn't love it. I usually rave about Sands' historicals, but this was not one of her best, and will not join my keepers. I started as an 'A' and because her historicals are usually good rereads, I remain an 'A'.
Rossy wrote: "Finished The Reluctant Vampire, it was good so gets 4 stars."I'll leave you an 'A' Rossy?
Damn! I was positive I signed up for this one. I'm an A and I just finished
which was excellent. Still an A.
FAC June - Lynsay SandsI finished
and loved it. Some of the humor was a bit silly and the truncheon/pie analogy (used to explain sex lol) was a bit overdone. But it didn't keep me from enjoying the book. I will definitely try more of her historicals. Don't know yet whether I'll check out her Argenau series.
I started as a C and consider myself a weak A for now.
I finished The Countess. I started as a C and ended an A. I loved the book and am looking forward to reading more.
I finished reading A Quick Bite and couldn't stop reading the next and the next after that and so forth. I'm currently reading The Renegade Hunter "Book 12 in the series." I guess I'm an A now.So far my favorite one was Vampire Interrupted.
I'm a B and I read Taming the Highland Bride
. It was good, but it would've been better if it weren't so much like the first book in that series, Devil of the Highlands. Im sure I'll read the 3rd in that series, and I'm looking forward to her vamp series. So I guess that makes me still a B :)
I was a C and Now I'm an A. I really enjoyed her bookA Quick Bite
and I planned to read the rest of the Argeneau books. It was so funny. I never had read about a vampire fainting at the sight of blood. I finished on June 09.
I changed my mind about which of her historical novels to read. I realized that The Chase is actually the third in a series and I just can’t bring myself to read a series out of order. So, I switched to The Heiress since I had already read the first book in this series. Just a note, this is NOT a book that you can read of out order. It’s the second book in the Madison Sister’s series. It follows the same storyline as the first book in the series except from two different points of view. I’ve enjoyed the series so far, though not as much as her older historical titles. I only gave this book three stars. But I’m still very much an “A” for Lynsay Sands.
I started out as a C. I finished reading one of her historicals, Devil of the Highlands, and really enjoyed it... I agree the last part of the book felt a little off track to me as well (turning into a murder mystery from a romance), but I still gave it 4 stars and would say I'm now an A.
I finished Devil of the Highlands, and for me it was ok, but nothing special. That's probably partially due to the fact that I'm not a huge fan of historicals (although there are some that I really like) so I'm still an A, as I thoroughly enjoy the Argeneau series and will definitely continue with it.
I started a B, read
and I'm still a B. It wasn't the greatest book, but it was entertaining. Light reading.
Finished
started as a C and ended as an A. I really liked this book mostly because I couldn't wait to figure out who murdered everyone. I enjoyed the heroine and found her to be very funny!!
I started out as a D, and read The Countess. There is just something about her characters I just do not like. And the plot was too improbable for me. I am a C - will most likely never read another book by her.
