I'm still putting all of the pieces together, but I've posted a lot of details to get ya started. Feel free to chat and sign-up on this thread since I've got the others closed off to new posts.
✣ Take a look at our Fantasyland Game Board
✣ Learn how teams will move around the board ~ Check out the Reference Sheet
✣ Rules on game play
✣ All game-related threads will be posted in our new Team Challenge: Fantasyland folder , so be sure to check it for any new threads.
As this is the first time my wacky revision is being tested, please be patient as we work out the kinks. There are sure to be a lot of questions before and after we start. One of us will answer any questions you have, so don't hesitate to let us know if you're unsure about any part of the game.
As I mentioned in the rules, players will need to try to read a book a week. Teams will be unable to move forward until all members have shared their read date, rating and review (RRR) for the week. If a team is pending a member's RRR when it's time to draw again, the whole team will be held back pending the missing RRR(s). Drawings will be done by each team's captain once a week at a TBD set day/time. The team movements will be tracked on this thread and on the team's thread. This will allow a quick way to see where each team is on the board each week.

Well this just sounds to interesting to pass up...I'm in! :D

From what I can tell from the rules, the only requirement would be the colors of covers. If you land in a blue square, then you read a book with a 'predominantly' blue cover, etc.
But I think that Steph will probably post an example of what could be considered predominantly one color and one that it's not, so we're not asking her every week if this cover is OK, etc.

I'm in then. Hopefully I have covers that work for this. I just read one with an all green cover too.

Edit: Also sign me up!
I've never tried this sort of challenge before.... But, I'd love to try it out... I want to join too !!!

I didn't see it either...that's why I asked yesterday but I'm not sure if Steph has stopped by in the last day.

I've created a new team challenge based on Hasbro's Candyland. I'm calling it Fantasyland. The game play will be similar to the original except all players will move forward, never backward and there are no penalty spaces.
Teams will move around the board by drawing cards; there are 6 different color cards, 6 one-time-only fantasy forward cards, and 2 shortcuts. Game progression will be similar to BookShelf Bingo: Team members will choose a book to read based on the colored spot the team lands on. Each member must then share their read date, rating and review in order to progress in the game. This is a team challenge, so all members must complete their book within one week so that the team may move forward each week.
The game board and a full explanation of the rules will be posted shortly. Sound interesting? Think you'd like to play? Feel free to sign up now or wait for further details.
