Ahhh, so it might be a case of this book having some of your pet peeves? Still it's good to know. I don't like game playing either. Unless it's the fun flirty kind but the manipulative controlling mind games, no.

Gisela (chicadorlando) | 4022 comments Shosho you're reading Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy, #2) by Deborah Harkness ?!!!! Is it good?

And I think I've had See Jane Score (Chinooks Hockey Team, #2) by Rachel Gibson in my TBR since it was published!

I got the paperback from library .I have added it but I only read the first paragraph! Hopefully it's good (it's 580 pages!!!!!)

LOL you've had it for 9 years on your TBR list?!

message 160: by Lara (new)

Lara | 2335 comments Today I holed up and read Archangel's Storm (Guild Hunter, #5) by Nalini Singh . It was great. I liked it much better than Archangel's Blade (Guild Hunter, #4) by Nalini Singh .

Now I'm reading Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas , which is turning out to be an interesting YA fantsy. There are some pretty gruesome murders, which actually are quite similar to ones in Archangel's Storm. Strange to read them so close to each other.

And this will be my last book of the challenge. I've updated post #37.

Ditto with regards to this, Gisela & Jenny. It is the reason behind it that is important.

Yes, I love them. Have you listened to the audiobooks? The narrator for the Elena-Rafael books is great. I haven't listened to Blade, as there is a plot device there that I find unsatisfying. However, I kept hearing her voice narrating Storm as I read.

Yes, I listened to Archangel's Kiss (Guild Hunter, #2) by Nalini Singh and enjoyed it more b/c of the narrator. However, I do prefer that author's Psy-Changeling series over that one. Just a matter of personal preference.

I started one of the Psy-Changeling books (don't recall which) and couldn't get into it. Too much drama. However, I've been thinking I need to start at the beginning of the series. That may make me more forgiving later on.

1. National Cherries Jubilee Day - Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie

2. Constitution Day - Surrender by Pamela Clare 3.5 ♥'s- The first half of the book was a solid 3 ♥'s, the second a solid 4 ♥'s. Hence 3.5

4. Birthstone: Sapphire- Ravishing the Heiress by Sherry Thomas ♥♥♥♥, 3.5 ♥'s really. Could've been 5 ♥'s but the ending felt rushed and after the hero treated the heroine like a doormat there was no groveling nor an epilogue! grrrr >:\
