There's a new cupcake coming.
It's mad and it's bad.
Some of you will be humming.
Some of you will be glad.

It's called the "Triple Threat"
And as it's name implies...
While it isn't a sure bet,
It increases your book count size.

We are going to have a September buddy read for Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews . And I even going to re-read it with the first timers.

So... I guess I robbed you of excuses for not to read it :P

So? Are you going to bail on me? Or will you..

play Barney?

*wicked grin*

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments If I can get my hands on a copy, I'll read it with you. :)

message 1157: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Nice! September 9th. Now, run to the library to request it! :o)

message 1158: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Field (nicolefield) | 1778 comments *grins* I suddenly love even more that I have suggested this BR!!

message 1159: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments LOL

It was a good call Nicole. Specially because I have read EVERY THING that is available on Kate Daniels Universe. And I'm mean every short story, snippet, twitter version, you name it, I read it.

I read books #2 to #5 in December. And when I finished them, I feel so "how can I feel this void" that I went in pursuit of the rest.

So, I'm predicting I'll be a bit depress when books #6 is over (probably on the weekend, if my family let me), and your suggestion was right on time!

message 1160: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Field (nicolefield) | 1778 comments Fantastic to hear it, Sonia. We'd hate to see you depressed :)

The move is finished. I moved back to my parents so i can finish school. It was a long move. After my move, I decided to help my brother and sister in law move in their rented house and helped clean so it was a very busy week and weekend.

message 1167: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Two moves?! Sounds like a very busy week/week-end.

message 1168: by [deleted user] (new)

It was. First I moved out of apartment on tuesday then my brother and sister in law moved friday and saturday. So, it was very tiring for all of us. I'm just glad its over.

Barb LK or whatever other mod needs to see this: I've exceeded my original goal for the year, so I've just changed it from the original 150 to 225. I may need to increase it again later in the year, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it :)

Barb, that is fine. However, it still says 150 on your Home Page Challenge for Mango Tango. When you change it there, we will change it on our spreadsheets.

Thanks!

Nicole Field (nicolefield) | 1778 comments There seem to be a lot of us moving at the moment! Jane, hope everything goes smoothly for you. Moving can be a right pain.

LOL It's better than the Storytime songs that tend to run through my head after a morning in the children's department :)

Have fun! *shudders at the thought of a high school reunion* My ten-year was a few weekends ago. I skipped it! X)

message 1193: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks guys. I arrived safe at the motel early this morning but was able to check in til 830am this morning. I've been reading when I could. I'll let you guys know how the reading is coming along.

message 1194: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Just read when you can, and don't feel obligated to check in if you don't have time. You can always check in once you get home :)

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6400 comments Just on an aside.... what do you think about the new guy cast for Doctor Who, Peter Capaldi? A bit of a change of direction, he's in his early 50's....

message 1196: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments I'm looking forward to it. I'll miss Eleven, but Capaldi has plenty of strong acting talent and Moffat has a story in mind for him, so I can't wait.

I love Capaldi! Although I thought the Dr got younger with each regeneration? And are they going to address the issue of only 13 regenerations (I think they can by River giving up hers). Oh so exciting!
And I hope Clara gets dumped ;)

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6400 comments Yeah, I think the storyline will move away from the "romantic" with the younger dudes, maybe back to the classic days with the Doctor as a brilliant and wise eccentric who still outwits the bad guys with his intellect...

LOL Barb! Me too. I don't even remember the number of the reunion I most recently skipped but since I have a son who has celebrated an 11th wedding anniversary, it is pretty clear that Time Lord Steven is younger than some of my children.

message 1200: by Barb (new)

Barb Well, my son just got married last fall, but we were 'older' when he was born, so I wouldn't be surprised if we're in the same age bracket, Evana :)
