I'm right there with you, Sheila! At least we'll never run out of things to read :)

You'd be surprised at how many people think that we who work in libraries do exactly that! If only ... *le sigh*

At the same time, we're ahead of some teams with a higher goal than ours, which is good for us! All we can do is keep on reading ... keep on reading ... keep on reading :)

It is true! I do love the goodies. ☺

I read online this morning that there is the potential for more tornadoes today.
All those children too :(
Thinking of them all, and hoping for the continued safety of your brave son and his friends and wife.

Son has posted a couple of pictures on his FB page, and all I can do is shake my head. This used to be a town, a community ... and all that's left is rubble :(
Yes, my heart breaks for the parents of all those young kids. They interviewed one of the teachers from that school last night, and he said Thursday was supposed to be the last day of school. If this had happened just one week later, the building would have been (more or less) empty.
For son and his wife, this is a going-away gift they'll never forget. He's finished this part of his training, and they're scheduled to leave OK on Friday for his next duty station.

What a good man you've raised, Barb.

None of your June books are in my reading plan, but I'll keep an eye out for your future choices.

NOT in your reading plan! How can they NOT be?! I'll never be able to talk to you again!"
Well.. I've already read The Hobbit, years ago, and unlike my team captain, I don't re-read.
I don't read paranormal or zombies, so that rules out World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War and The Restorer.
My library system doesn't have The Shining Girls, and since it's a new release, I can't afford to buy it. I might be able to work in The Birth of Venus, but it will depend on what I need to read for my other June challenges :)
@Steven: You've seen some of my challenge craziness, you *know I have a reading plan LOL

They make fun of me at work for my extensive book reading plan maps/files/spreadsheets. It gets complicated! Don't let the haters hate.
@Steven
Muphin sounds like something Paris Hilton would name her dog. Alternately, something the people I graduated high school with would name their child.

Perhaps, Oo. I'm a very moody reader -- if I'm not in the mood for a particular book, even if it's on my TBR, it's like pulling teeth to get me to read it. But if I AM in the mood for it, I generally read the whole thing in a day or two.
That said, if you've got any mystery lovers on your team, we might be able to work something out :)

I'm already reading some with you next month though so no rush for now!

Books Barb & I have in common TBR. "
When I clicked on the link, GR said "you can't compare books with yourself" ROFL And your profile, Oo, is private, so I can't compare my books to yours.

Well, I work at our local public library, and many of the rest of the staff are as addicted to books as I am -- they just don't get the whole reading challenge thing. That's ok, I know challenges aren't for everyone, but *I really enjoy them :)

LOL Or both? Oy, the names I've seen/heard while working in the children's department of our library!!

Actually, I think most readers are 'moody readers.' Those who don't read don't understand that. Every month, I do three month-long challenges in another GR group, and there are always other ongoing challenges as well. My first priority each month is the challenges that end that month -- and whatever new releases arrive for me from the library as well. I already have six new books on hold at the library; two will arrive the first week, the others later in the month. June is going to be a busy reading month LOL

Teresa, I just sent a PM that might help with this :)

I think those links you posted default to our own books to compare with the people whose accounts you linked. When I click the first one, it says how MY books compare with Steven's, then same with mine vs Barb.
