Jamie and Claire return in December!! :-)"

I'm currently listening to the second book, the narrator is one of the best I've heard!

I'm so glad you liked Outlander enough to continue the series!
I agree...Davina Porter is amazing!

Now to find a green book...

Breann | 0 comments Looks like team 9 has a shot at winning this week!

Vi | 943 comments Oh. I'm just reading the second book but I'm really enjoying it so far - I'm so glad I decided to continue the series.

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 540 comments Hmmm, not sure we need to pick anything with the end in sight for another team but I'm reading Pale Demon (The Hollows, #9) by Kim Harrison this week anyway so if we need a review I'll post it.

If not, it's been fun reading with you all.

PS - if that cover isn't green enough there's the German one - Blutdämon (The Hollows, #9) by Kim Harrison

message 309: by SandyC (new)

SandyC (sandyc88) | 342 comments Team 5 can also win this week.
I'll pick a book by Wed. If no one wins by then since I don't have a book with a green cover readily available.

Vi and Breann, I think you'll love Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2) by Diana Gabaldon , but make sure to have tissues handy!

message 310: by Breann (new)

Breann | 0 comments I have the same plan with my pick this week.

I've already needed a good amount of tissues & I'm not even 20%!

message 311: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments I picked out a green book, but I'm not sure if I'll start it since it seems likely another team is going to win. Plus, I finally got Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward , and I'm dying to read it.

message 312: by Vi (new)

Vi | 943 comments Sandy, I did love DiA. I stayed up late last night to finish it too. I'm definitely picking up the next book in the series.

Two teams are racing to the finish and it seems likely this round will be over in a couple of days. Anyway I'm going to start A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, #3) by George R.R. Martin today which will fit this week.

It was awesome playing with you ladies this round. I really enjoyed it!

message 313: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Yeah, I agree with Vi. It's been super fun playing with you all. I enjoyed playing Fantasyland. It was a fun new game. I'm gonna miss playing a game. :-(

Vi, I loved Voyager (Outlander, #3) by Diana Gabaldon even more! It's my second favorite after A Breath of Snow and Ashes (Outlander, #6) by Diana Gabaldon .

As for A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, #3) by George R.R. Martin , not sure if this is your first time or a re-read. If first time, you are in for a major roller coaster ride!

message 315: by Vi (new)

Vi | 943 comments Sandy, I've heard mostly everyone saying that's their favourite of the series. I'm looking forward to it!

It's my first time reading - I'm so in love with GRRM. I've stopped supporting certain characters because they inevitably end up dying but the ride is very enjoyable.

SandyC (sandyc88) | 342 comments Looks like Team 5 is the Winner!

Ladies, I enjoyed playing the game with you and talking about books!

Breann, I'm 3/4 through Lover At Last, and all I can say is why did they lie and say this is Qhuinn & Blay's book? This is the most disjointed book Ward has produced yet!

message 317: by Breann (new)

Breann | 0 comments Ohmygod, I know. I've already ridden the rant wave with LaL. Don't get me started!! ;)

message 318: by KarenF (new)

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 540 comments I don't want to make anyone rant but the reason I didn't jump on LaL is that after Lover Unleashed JRW got demoted down to only buy in paperback status, for the reasons you're stating here. I actually liked Manny & Payne but I felt like we hardly got their story at all. And don't get me started on how I felt about what she did to J & V, it's a romance, don't tear apart a previously settled couple. Anyhoo, I still haven't brought myself to read Lover Reborn yet because of those issues. Someday I'll catch up but reading the comments I'm not in a big hurry.

So, I'll send my congrats to Team 5. It's been fun reading and chatting with you all!

message 319: by Breann (new)

Breann | 0 comments I actually really loved LR, it was one of my favorites in the series. But yeah, Qhuay gets about 50% of LaL dedicated to their story. A lot of jumping around. But! If this is your first M/M romance please, PLEASE don't judge the genre based on this. Just sayin'. ;)

It was great fun playing with you ladies, I will see you around GR!!

message 320: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments I had tons of fun playing with you all! Hopefully we'll meet again in the next SOS game.
