So much to unpack. Some twenty years ago I undertook a deep dive into Herman Melville and came away convinced he was America’s greatest writer, and that served as the basis of my current understanding of literature in general. Nowhere in this incarnati ...more |

| Officially the collection I’ve read the most. I know I read this one back in Burlington, and I have my sister a copy, and very shamelessly I’ve spent time reading through it while visiting her. And now I added it to my collection, which I was finally ...more | |

Every time I revisit the New 52, I’m astounded all over again with how easily it was rejected, despite being such a rich vein of storytelling. Here’s a sampling of how much it gave Supergirl! What constitutes the “modern” Supergirl is a surprisingly c ...more |

| Great introduction by Lillian Hellman, and the collection itself starts out well, then the last few stories are a drag, but at least they seem like they could’ve inspired Pynchon, so there’s that. Not Hammett’s best material (The Maltese Falcon, pres ...more | |

Mercyhurst was a pretty great community to be a part of for a year. I can only wonder what it would've been like for three more. I've never experienced a school merger. Erie itself was pretty great, reminded me a lot of my native Maine. I'm always working on something! Hope post collegiate life has treated you well.
Hi, Tony! Thanks for contacting me. Congratulations on your books! I hope you're well and having a great week. I'm glad you spent a year in Erie, PA, how did you like it? How did you like Mercyhurst? I attended Villa Maria College and Gannon University (during their merger--was accepted at both, started at Villa, graduated from Gannon. Have you ever lived through a school or college/university merger?). Well, happy reading, writing, and everything else, and all the best for future projects! Have a good day. Blessings!Best wishes from Majenta
