Read the best of what's around, not just the specific genre you intend to write. You aren't just aiming at immediate success. Your chances for that elusive long-term success don't just hinge on finding a story that has mass appeal, but one that has a chance to rewrite all the rules. Tony Laplume Mercyhurst was a pretty great community to be a part of for a year. I can only wonder what it would've been like for three more. I've never experienced a school merger. Erie itself was pretty great, reminded me a lot of my native Maine. I'm always working on something! Hope post collegiate life has treated you well.

Majenta Hi, Tony! Thanks for contacting me. Congratulations on your books! I hope you're well and having a great week. I'm glad you spent a year in Erie, PA, how did you like it? How did you like Mercyhurst? I attended Villa Maria College and Gannon University (during their merger--was accepted at both, started at Villa, graduated from Gannon. Have you ever lived through a school or college/university merger?). Well, happy reading, writing, and everything else, and all the best for future projects! Have a good day. Blessings!

Best wishes from Majenta
