I love reviewing books, and it's always nice to hear that somebody enjoys reading them. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to tell Elizabeth of York's story and hope that I have done her justice.

So many wonderful books exist on the Plantagenets and the Wars of the Roses! Of course, I highly recommend anything by Sharon Kay Penman. If you are looking for a lesser known take on the Wars of the Roses, I would recommend David Pilling's White Hawk series. It is gritty, realistic, and takes a strong Lancastrian point of view which sets it apart from many others.

In terms of nonfiction, I appreciate books that are factual while still easily accessible and readable. Some great examples are Bertram Fields' Royal Blood, Dan Jones' Plantagenets and Wars of the Roses (Hollow Crown in UK), and Desmond Seward's Last White Rose. Ian Mortimer's Time Traveler's Guide to Medieval England is not about royalty but gives a great feeling of what it was like to live during the Plantagenet era.

I hope this helps and look forward to hearing what you think of Plantagenet Princess, Tudor Queen!(less)

I am thrilled that you are eager for the release of Plantagenet Princess, Tudor Queen! The reason you are not finding my story of Elizabeth of York is that it has not yet been released. Currently, beta readers are busily providing me with helpful feedback, and I am looking forward to an August release.

I have read a few of Chadwick's novels and have several more on my shelf. Her story of William Marshall is well loved by many! She is a skilled author who I hope I can compare favorably with. Thank you for your interest in my writing! (less)

Some really absurd implausibilities in this one. The more I think about it, the less it makes sense.

“The vile John Morton, who was now Archbishop of Canterbury, had created a process of extortion known as “Morton’s Fork.” If a man was well off, he had plenty to share with his king. If he had little, he was adept at getting along on less and could give to the king.”
Samantha Wilcoxson, Plantagenet Princess, Tudor Queen: The Story of Elizabeth of York

“The queen straightened her back and tilted her head back ever so slightly, giving power to her husband’s troops through her own regality.”
