This book automatically went on my no chance in hell list because the cover reminded me of Match and that was one of the biggest pieces of shit I’ve read in the last few years.

Honestly tho, that cover is a work of art. Too bad the book doesn't live up to it :/

i didn't mind liesl so much, but my issue was with the pacing, which was so painfully slow i had to drag myself across the finish line. i gave it three stars for the atmosphere and the pretty writing and an intriguing but badly executed idea.

HAHA SO GOOD! my review for shadowsong is pretty much this but less cohesive. I had really high hopes for this because it seemed right up my alley and the cover is BEAUTIFUL but it ended up being cringe and anticlimactic :(
