my star ratings are a blend between how much i enjoy a book & how well i think it was written (amongst many other things)… typically, one or the other outweighs that balance— you get it! i know! i don’t have to explain! all books are held to their own rating, a classic is not held to the same degree as a lit fic or a fantasy that might’ve been published yesterday (they’re different things altogether, imo), one author is not held to the same degree as another (only themselves). most importantly, i read for fun! for myself! and i do try my best to review books- so future me can reminisce over my thoughts to judge myself. my reviews are more-so thoughts, or a rambling of such, they’re the things that i thought about at two-am when i couldn’t sleep rather than an actual structured review. enjoy.
