Rating system: I don't know how to analyze a book. But I can try to explain how I'm enjoying a novel. I react to obvious politics like a nervous scorpion.
1 Star - Didn't enjoy it due to some reason. I.E. It turned from a decent Cyberpunk novel into a politic submerged diatribe about trans people being real human beings who eat capitalism.
2 Stars - Has something to it that attracted my interest. But it lost it somehow or something effected me on a subjective way. I.E. it had a scene where the heroine assumes the hero's kids will be hers.
3 Stars - Has some interest to me because of X. I.E. It's about a road trip in the 1930s and the heroes huff around trying to be bohemian writers.
4 Stars - Has elicited strong enjoyment from me or pull off strong emotions. I.E. It's a romance novel where the heroine shoots her hero and gives him a disability because he was an alpha douche toward her.
5 Stars - May have read this in teen years or had a strong emotional reaction. I.E. The Hobbit....more
