I'd rather not feel like the main characters have plot armor, but I also don't want important characters dying off left and right. I'd rather not feel like the main characters have plot armor, but I also don't want important characters dying off left and right. No mysterious prophecies that foreshadow anybody's death, etc... Basically, I want a series that makes me feel good all the way through. Emotional ups and downs are fine, but I've been reading a lot of darker series recently and I need something to cheer me up :D It needs to take itself seriously (I'm not looking for How to Train Your Dragon, or the Diskworld books), but I'm also not looking to read the Game of Thrones. It also has to be a completed series! I'd rather not read 3 books and then realize I'll be waiting to finish for another 2 years :P ln a way, I guess I'm looking for a series like the Green Rider by Kristain Britain. Karigan doesn't have obvious plot armor, but Britain does a good job of ending each book in a way that gives you hope for the future. Help would be appreciated! Thank you!...more
