Though she has worked in numerous capacities including as a parochial school English teacher, youth soccer coach and referee, dance instructor, and assistant office manager at a CPA firm, by August of 2012, Allynn surrendered to the driving need to fulfill a decades-old promise to publish the stories of some very demanding characters who lovingly reside in her imagination and dreams. When not writing, Allynn is an avid square dancer who, up to six nights a week by her husband’s side, actively participates in and teaches others the joy of the dance. She is also a big game hunter who manages to keep the freezer full of meat. The mother of three grown daughters, Allynn lives in Centennial, Colorado with her husband, Bob.
Allynn's debut sci-fi/fantasy "The Blood", was published in May 2014. In August 2014, "The Blood" was nominated for several categories in the Colorado Independent Publishers Association's EVVY Awards: On August 23, 2014 "The Blood" received a merit award for the cover design; THIRD PLACE for Fantasy, and THIRD PLACE for Science Fiction. These awards and readers are spurring Allynn to complete the second book of the series, "The Balance". Publication for book two is scheduled for late March 2016....more
