star -for fiction - generally books I had to force myself to finish, or that have a crippling flaw that spoils the story -for non-fiction - the argument of the book was fundamentally flawed.
stars - okay -for fiction - I read it and it didn't really make much of an impression on me. -for non-fiction - Mainly given to books I found bland rather than hated.
stars - decent/a likeable book -non fiction - A decently enjoyable read. Possibly some faults. -fiction - Few different types of books in here: Books that were a decent read the first time but I wouldn't read again. Books that were just "switch off your brain" ones If I can pick anything beyond minor faults with a book, it's probably here or lower. Some that were good but not quite 4 stars, good but not great basically.
stars - very good -overall - a book that I really liked, and wouldn't pick faults with except minor ones, but can't justify giving it 5. Would happily re-read anything here.
stars - amazing Rarely give this one.
Spoiler Policy: I make sure to hide it if I spoil the ending, but there may be minor spoilers other than this visible in my reviews sometimes....more
