Someone steps back so another can be seen. Waves the car ahead. Learns a song for the one person who will never hear it any other way.

Someone answers gently when fury would be easier. Wraps a coat around someone else's cold. Sits with the afraid instead of fixing them. Smiles at a stranger carrying something heavy.

None of this is small.

It's the stitching you never notice... the thing that keeps the whole cloth from coming apart. The world holds together not because of what's loud, but because of what's small enough to almost miss.
