Maybole Quotes

“The problems o' the Scottish soul
Are nocht to Harry Lauder;
I met a lassie in Maybole'
Athikitty they ca'd her.
I thocht I'd woo her, but aye at the squeak
O' my muckle buits she was aff like a streak
sae I tried it syne in my stockin' soles,
And dootless I'd ha'e fund her
But I lost my way - nae wonder,
For they were fu' o' holes.”
