“Sometimes I wonder how it feels like to be nothing at all
Shattered and lonely, just fearing downfall.
When the world hits you hard, smashes you down,
Where the people you loved are forever gone.
Sometimes I wonder if happiness existed
Sadness would not be any of our business.
Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever feel complete
The negativity to my life will automatically delete.
Sometimes I wonder how it feels like to be nothing at all.
Shattered and lonely, just fearing downfall.”

“Alone but not lonely thinking of you
Birds flying by in a sky that is blue
Alone but not lonely sitting in the sand
Sunbeams caress my skin in my home of the Grand Strand
Alone but not lonely in tranquility of the coast
Enjoying quiet time that seems silly to most
Alone but not lonely in my cottage by the sea
Working on self-improvement to become a better me”

“Stranger's Park by Stewart Stafford
Up the empty, welcoming path,
Half grass/gravel in composition,
Past ruined cottage foundations,
And tree trunk with vaginal cleft.
Swings sway, empty playground,
Birds serenading wraith children,
Roundhead bins stand as sentries,
Keeping errant litter off the grass.
Army truck and wailing ambulance,
Shatter the tranquility as they pass,
Blaring car horn joins the cacophony,
Turning on my heel, I journey home.
