“Nobody that has seen a baby born can believe in god for a second. When you see your child born, and the panic, and the amount of technology that is saving the life of the two people you love most in the world, when you see how much stainless steel and money it takes to fight off the fact that god wants both those people dead, no one, no one can look into the eyes of a newborn baby and say there's a god, because I'll tell ya, if we were squatting in the woods, the two people I love most would be dead. There's just no way around that. If I were in charge, no way. We need technology to fight against nature; nature so wants us dead. Nature is trying to kill us.”

“Put two men together, and they will find something to argue about. Gather them into groups, and one group will find reason to oppress or attack another.”

“In my experience, seriously picky eaters are often picky due to food intolerances. Different foods make them not feel very well, so they refuse to eat them. Over time they suffer from gut damage[1] (like my oldest) and they self-limit to the foods that feed the “bad” bacteria in their systems: fruit, cheese, breads, and sugary foods[2]. If your child will literally only eat chicken nuggets, bread, pasta, cheese, and fruit – this may likely be what is going on. This is especially likely if they also suffer from eczema, diarrhea or constipation, sleep disturbances (frequent waking, night terrors), behavior issues (screaming, tantrums beyond what’s developmentally appropriate; ADHD), etc. If you suspect this may be a problem, the top culprits are dairy, gluten, soy, corn, seafood, although intolerances may be to just about anything. The best solution for children with serious”

“GAPS Diet This diet is intended to heal gut damage in children, which may result in autism, ADHD, severe food allergies, or other outward symptoms. Children who have severe physical and behavioral problems may begin this diet in order to address the underlying causes, which is a so-called “leaky gut.” This means that the good gut flora that should be present isn’t, and that there are “holes” in the gut wall where undigested proteins are leaking through and into the bloodstream, sensitizing the child. There is also an overgrowth of pathogenic bacteria and likely, candida. The GAPS diet[2] addresses this and helps to actually heal the gut.”

“Add Fat Don’t be afraid of fat. Add extra butter to anything. Drizzle olive oil over pasta or salads or even meat just prior to serving (don’t heat it if possible). Olive oil mixed with herbs is also great for dipping bread into. (Try the soaked no-knead bread in this book.) Pan-fry meat and fish with some coconut oil, beef tallow, or lard. Make “candy” from coconut oil, honey, shredded coconut, and chocolate (if you like).”

“Parents have come to believe the following conditions are “normal” (as in, many people have them and there’s nothing that can be done) when, in fact, they are not: Colic Eczema Asthma Diabetes Allergies (food/environmental) ADHD Autism Learning disabilities Picky eating”

“Having a record of well-child visits also protects parents, especially those who choose to follow an alternative lifestyle, from being accused of medical neglect. An ongoing record showing regular well-child visits goes a long way to negate such accusations, supposing they are ever made.”

“Our children do see a chiropractor weekly, and we do usually take the kids for annual visits with the pediatrician – but by no means do we feel we need all the usual visits. On the few occasions our children have been sick enough to warrant a call to the doctor (once each for our oldest two and never for our youngest), the chiropractor was our first stop and another local alternative doctor was our second.”

“Despite what parents have been told by doctors and the mainstream media, there is science to suggest that vaccines are linked to ADHD[1], autism, asthma, and a number of other serious chronic conditions. In no way have these questions been settled, and in no way has a vaccine-autism link been debunked, as is often stated.”

“Of course, the very best source of vitamin D is sun exposure, which must occur without any sunscreen to be effective. The best sun exposure to produce vitamin D, yet minimize one’s risk of sun-associated cancers and other illnesses is right around noon, when the UVB rays (which produce vitamin D) are the strongest[9].”

“McCarthy’s movie career wasn’t limited to The Stupids. In 1998, she had a small role in BASEketball and the following year in Diamonds , directed by John Asher, whom she married in September 1999. A few years later, on May 18, 2002, their only child, Evan, was born in Los Angeles. But all was not well. Following a chance encounter with a stranger, McCarthy knew that something was different about her son. “One night I reached over and grabbed my Archangel Oracle tarot cards and shuffled them and pulled out a card,” she wrote. “It was the same card I had picked over and over again the past few months. It was starting to drive me crazy. It said that I was to help teach the Indigo and Crystal children. [Later,] a woman approached Evan and me on the street and said, ‘Your son is a Crystal child,’ and then walked away. I remember thinking, ‘Okay, crazy lady,’ and then I stopped in my tracks. Holy shit, she just said ‘Crystal child,’ like on the tarot card.” McCarthy realized that she was an Indigo adult and Evan a Crystal child. Although Evan would soon be diagnosed with autism, McCarthy took heart in the fact that Crystal children were often mislabeled as autistic. According to Doreen Virtue, author of The Care and Feeding of Indigo Children, “Crystal Children don’t warrant a label of autism! They aren’t autistic, they’re AWE-tistic.”

“In the mid-1800s, antivaccine activists claimed that vaccines contained the “poison of adders, the blood, entrails, and excretions of bats, toads and suckling whelps.” When, a hundred and fifty years later, Jenny McCarthy said that she wanted the ether and anti-freeze removed from vaccines, she had carried forward the centuries-old tradition of claiming that vaccines contain ingredients that aren’t there.”

“In the South Wollo zone of northeastern Ethiopia, 80 percent of rural farming households earn less than $50 per year, and periodic drought is one reason they remain trapped in deep poverty.”

“William Cline has projected that because of climate change the total agricultural capacity of Africa (excluding Egypt) will decline by roughly 19 percent between now and 2080 (Cline 2007). These projected climate change effects make the development of crops better able to tolerate drought an even more obvious imperative in Africa.”

“The number of genetic engineers currently working on DT traits continues to grow, but given the high regulatory costs of bringing any entirely new GM crop to the market, the first commercialized version of an engineered DT crop will almost certainly come from one of the three big biotechnology companies now in pursuit of this objective in the United States: Syngenta, DuPont/Pioneer, and Monsanto.”

“An important early test of donor interest in sponsoring a GM DT crop project for Africa was provided in 2004-05, when Monsanto took the initiative and offered to share its newly discovered DT traits for humanitarian purposes.”

“At St. John’s College, Annapolis, where Robert Hutchins’ educational views have been most successfully practiced, they make, it is true, a great hubbub about science. The school’s catalog boasts that more mathematics and laboratory work are required than at any other college, and there is even a pretentious listing of all pieces of apparatus used by the student, down to such items as compass, calipers, and ruler. But so heavy is the emphasis on highlights in the past history of science, that little time is left for acquiring a solid grasp of current scientific opinion.”
